GUN CONTROL

Biden's Gun Control Push Combines Slipperiness With Self-Righteous Certitude
The president implies that anyone who resists his agenda is complicit in the murder of innocents.

President Joe Biden says he wants Democrats and Republicans to join together in responding to mass shootings like the recent attacks in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Tulsa. Yet the speech he delivered last night was suffused with the off-putting, aggressive self-righteousness that Democrats routinely display when they push new restrictions on firearms. Again and again, Biden implied that anyone who questions or resists the policy solutions he favors is complicit in the murder of innocents. As he frames the issue, there is no room for honest disagreement about the merits of those proposals, which are self-evidently the right thing to do.

Was his speech related to 19 police officers not doing jack while a heavily armed gunman executed 10 years olds and their teachers? IF the teachers had military training.....that is all I am saying. In fact what if the 10 year olds were armed?

Was reading a rimfire forum and a Canadian posted they aren't allowed suppressors.

We're not allow to have them here in the US either without a special tax stamp that takes 3-12 months or more to get and only if the state allows them. Mine does, but some don't.

Bold move for a W Virginia Senator.

NZ has got quite the suppressor industry going on. Many guns here have a threaded barrel. With our introduced species that are classed as pests by other greeny conservation groups its created a little philosophical divide among the libtards. You need a suppressor to shoot more than one pest each time..same with letting pest control and farmers continue to use semi autos.
The gun control fanatics did try and take them and failed there also. We did get a few victories of common sense.

Just shows though if the US didn't have the constitution you possibly would not have a single gun.

He must not be up for re-election any time soon.

You have to have unity.
Deerstalkers is one of the leading stakeholders in NZ. There is no other bigger group of firearm owners. Yet the boss was signally it was ok to confiscate the ARs. Being so weak like that the bastards took the 5 in the mag classic deer hunting semi autos aswell.
Previous semi auto ban they looked at taking those and then re-instated them after pressure.

A dude I used to work with took roo culling contracts. He used to shoot 350 roos a year. They cull near residential areas so it makes sense for them to use suppressors.

Basically it is legal to own a suppressor under certain circumstances in Australia.

"New South Wales has similar exemptions in place but earlier this year controversially changed the permit application to make it easier for recreational hunters and sporting shooters to also apply to use a suppressor."

Not in Queensland you can't.
The main problem with the over the top Australian gun laws. Is the UN disarming the population. For nefarious purposes. Even though I know multiple people who legally own firearms.

I have personally fired some of those firearms. With my own free will. I enjoy clay pigeon shooting it is good fun.

My boss. The roo culler. Used a Remington 700 chambered in .223.

I do not get what your point is bud. It is legal to own a plethora of different firearms in Australia. Including semi automatic pistols. And Rifles equipped with suppressors. As long as the gun owner is a reputable citizen with the appropriate license and a legitimate reason for e.g. owning a suppressor.

Sorry if I am not making sense. :-P
