It looks like young Germans accept the East German political model. The approval of die Linke is quite shocking amongst young people. Up till now, its support rate has been marginal in the territory that belonged to West Germany. They have had a very effective campaign finish. If their support rate has grown from 4% to 8.7% in 2 months, it’s an increase of 117.5%

The irony being that back in the day, Merz had to take a lot of S**t for his promotion of unconditional loyalty to America. He even went on a campaign in 2002 advocating Germany's participation in the Iraq War.
