The third Arctic patrol ship AOPV 432 Max Bernays, under construction for the Canadian Navy under the AOPS program (Arctic Offshore Patrol Ship) before launching at the Halifax Shipyards of the Canadian corporation Irving Shipbuilding in Halifax (Nova Scotia).

As part of the AOPS program, the government of Canada ordered the construction of 8 ships of this class, which have a polar class Arc5 and a total displacement of 6615 tons, length 103 and a width of 19 m. The power plant is diesel-electric, includes four diesel generators of 4800 hp each. and two propeller motors of 6000 hp each. Full speed 17 knots, cruising range 6800 miles. Crew 65 people.
Armament: 25-mm automatic artillery installation BAE Systems Mk 38 and two 12.7-mm machine guns.
The hangar is intended for the basing of the Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone (S-92A) helicopter.
The ship has a 20-ton cargo crane, two rescue boats, a 12-meter ABCO landing boat, and a special compartment for equipment (snowmobiles, tractors).
 
Project 10510, also known through the Russian type size series designations LK-110Ya and LK-120Ya or the project name Leader, is a planned series of Russian nuclear-powered icebreakers. When built, it would supersede Project 22220 icebreakers as the largest and most powerful icebreakers in the world. As of 2021, the lead vessel of the series is under construction and expected to be commissioned by 2027. In total, it is planned to built three vessels by 2033.

It was the search and rescue vessel Odin that had to assist the more than 20 year old submarine to safe waters after it got a technical problem.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in the far northern Porsanger Fjord.
“There is no drama in this,” says Lt. Col. Ivar Moen, spokesman for the Norwegian Armed Forces’ operational headquarters told iFinnmark.
