CIA analyst Bob Baer / a repeat CNN correspondent says...

CIA analyst Bob Baer claimed that “Putin will be all over Twitter” thanks to billionaire owner Elon Musk’s policies on running the company.
He also explained that the “voice of the people” that Musk claimed wanted freedom of expression was “Russian intelligence” intent on undermining American support for Ukraine.
During a recent post on CNN, the analyst argued that Musk’s attitude towards freedom of speech towards the company’s operations, particularly the way he decided to restore suspended accounts and not ban users for any speeches, means that Russian hackers will benefit from it.

Baer also claimed that Musk’s justification for the move — he called it free speech — was “simply nonsense” that would benefit the Russians and other distributors of disinformation.

I remember when the CNN slogan used to be "if it is not on CNN, it did not happen".

Now it kind of is the opposite "if it is on CNN, it likely didn't happen".
