Terror News about terrorism

A twenty-year old Syrian national has attacked travellers on a German high-speed train with an axe today, injuring at least three people. Other passengers zerged the perp and roughed him up so good he had to be airlifted to a hospital after the fact. (Source) No motive has been established, but due to the several blunt weapons in his possession, terrorism seems possible.
According to this, it was an hammer?
and three of the four injured were also syrians

Could be a lot of things, from terror to Syrians having a grave argument. Either way if no one died and they beat the perp to the ground unconscious…

Different news, I heard about a stabbing spree and people injured in Tempere, Suomi.

No more infos about this maybe @PEMM got something?
As i know the german "justice", the guys that brought him down must fear to be charged because of violence... They should have thrown him out of the train, when it still has been on speed...

What I was thinking as well.

Assuredly activists will flock around that "poor victim" and try to reverse the case by suing those who neutralized him.

Don't know much. Bald "normal looking" guy in his twenties, stabbed four women near entrance to a shopping center in Tampere.

Injuries, but no fatalities.

Terrorist or racist motivations not expected.

An eyewitness who was with his/her child in a playground near the shopping center encountered the suspected stabbing suspect and told him to stop.

The witness describes hearing a scream from the street about the stabbing and seeing a middle-aged woman leaning against a pillar, bleeding. It appeared that the woman had been stabbed in the hand. The witness shouted to passersby to call an ambulance.

– I saw a man in his twenties wearing a grey hoodie walking towards the terrace of John Scott’s very calmly, the witness says.

He had a feeling that the man, who was acting unusually calmly, might be involved in the stabbing.

– Was that you? the witness says he asked the man with the child in his/her arms.

The man did not respond to the question, so the witness told him to stop several times. At this point the man was about 15 metres away.

– I shouted “stop”. He woke up and turned around. At that moment, security guards came to arrest him.

According to the eyewitness, the man did not resist when he was arrested.

– It was definitely a bit of a threatening situation, the eyewitness says.

– There was a surprising amount of time to think about things. There was a children's play net behind me, so I didn't really have a place to run.

The eyewitness cannot say whether the person still had the bladed weapon in his hand when he ordered him to stop.

Young man attacked unexpectedly
According to another reader who contacted Iltalehti, a young man had suddenly attacked women with a knife near the main entrance of the shopping center.

According to the reader, the perpetrator was quickly caught on the spot. The reader says that the man had looked “normal”.

– I was eating with a friend at a nearby Hesburger, when several police and ambulances were outside when I went out, says Eelis, 15, who contacted Iltalehti.

He himself did not see the stabbing. According to him, there were at least five police cars and several security guards at the scene.

– Some of the people seemed to be in shock and some were describing the surroundings on their phones or talking to their loved ones, Eelis describes the situation.

According to the reader who contacted Iltalehti, there was a pool of blood in front of the restaurant near the Ratina shopping center. This is also confirmed by Iltalehti journalist Juha Veli Jokinen, who was there.

Police confirmed on Thursday evening that four people had been injured in a stabbing, but no fatalities were reported. Police have left the shopping center area.

According to German media, he had an axe and a hammer on his person. Someone managed to grab the hammer and gave him a good whacking with it.
Four women? Sounds like an incel dirtbag.
Possible. But there's also been a trend among those spree killers to target people less likely to fight back. Which is, sadly, why they're more and more likely to attack children, women and the elderly now.

Seems like that qualifies as domestic terrorism.

Not terrorism-related. The perp had escaped from a mental asylum in June. (Source)

One could believe that.

Except the "mentally unstable" label is being put on every jihadist too.

A man was shot by French police yesterday as he was waving a knife, threatening bystanders and attacking a police officer near the finish line at a stage of the Tour de France in Rouen.

I was watching but missed it.

Escaped from an asylum? There are so many crazy (or intoxicated) people watching the race, it would be hard to pick one out... until knives or hammers start being waved around, of course.

It was only mentioned once on the Belgian tv commentary was watching. It was still like 30km to the finish line at that point.

Led us to believe they actually wanted to achieve something.... We don't know exactly what could have been done um um um. We have to help the investigators by changing the laws. So this what this is about.

Seizing land?

Why? How? What for?

I "get" the while shtick on the side as part of the usual crazies/numbnuts thing. But how is seizing land even viable?

To show the world what tough guys they are? Like: All you nasty guys out there, look how tough we are, we are fighting the government on their own ground... Maybe?

Arguably it matters little, as the degree of guilt depends on intent not outcome.

The Austrians gave some crazy sovereign citizen hag 14 years in prison a couple of years ago after she'd sent self-made arrest warrants to Austria's general staff and ordered them to arrest the Chancellor.

And that's how it should be. I have no issue with the book being thrown at twerps. It's a pity the throw isn't always as forceful, so to speak, but that can never be an excuse to go soft on people like that.
