Comments are insufferable, it’s like these people forgot about the L.A. riots where the police were overwhelmed and ordinary citizens had to protect their homes and businesses from getting torched.

An article from almost 4 years ago?? Or are you just trying to make the point that most countries struggle with arms restrictions over the years?
Oops! My bad. Just popped up on my feed and I didn’t check the date. In any case, it’s still a great example of the hard truth that criminals and terrorists don’t give two sh*ts about the gun laws that disarm the rest of us.

Mayor in New Orleans did the same and Massachusetts is not processing gun and permit applications.

Typical Democrats, the long bitch slap of the Federal Courts can’t come soon enough.

Anyway, more gun buying surges in Cali, this time at the open air sewer:

Gun sales surge amid coronavirus fears — and lockdown
Gun stores across the Bay Area did brisk business Tuesday, selling firearms and ammunition to customers rattled by the coronavirus pandemic and staying open in apparent defiance of the “shelter-in-place” order intended to slow the spread of disease.

Firearms dealers from Novato to Sunnyvale reported a spike in sales, and buyers in multiple cities waited in long lines that spilled out doors and into parking lots.

This is the most anti-gun region in the most anti-gun state.

Plus the buying isn't even confined to the Untied States:

COVID-19 outbreak sparks ‘explosion’ in sales for Canadian gun stores

I'm also guessing that there are big surges in countries with relatively liberal gun laws like Austria, Finland, Norway, Czech Republic, etc.

Interesting conversation with a Vietnam vet, served with the Marines. I asked him what his go-to weapon was there and he said it was his pump shotgun. I have two, a Mossberg 590 and Remington 870. Have to say, the Mossy is pretty handy.

Given that its not duck or deer season the only option left to explain the panic buying is Justin Trudeau.

My only shotgun is an ancient .410 bolt-action that I bought at a flea market. It has crusty powder all over the magazine and there is minor rust forming around the bolt.

I’m actually afraid of firing it, but I still picked up ammunition for it just in case the police get overwhelmed and civil order breaks down.

That’s how bad it is.

Coronavirus Fears Have Led To A Surge In U.S. Gun Sales
Key background: Economic and political instability tends to kick off periods of increased gun sales, Alex Horsman, Ammo.com marketing manager told USA Today. The online retailer itself has reported a 68% jump in sales.

Panic buying here as well. People afraid of getting their toilet paper stolen?

This pansy-ass cries non-stop about the evil gunz and now he's having a heart attack because of the potential of millions of new gun owners caused by this pandemic.

GOOD.

Also, a salute to Canadian Gun Owners too:

Coronavirus: Firearms and ammo sales spike across Canada amid COVID-19, gun law fears
TORONTO — The COVID-19 outbreak coupled with fears about more restrictive gun legislation has fuelled a spike in firearm and ammunition sales, several dealers said this week.

Buyers, they say, are stocking up while they can — a development that has alarmed gun-control advocates.

“We are seeing a surge in sales,” said Ross Faulkner, owner of The Gun Dealer in McAdam, N.B., which bills itself Atlantic Canada’s largest firearms store.

Part of the "concern" I'm guessing is the pullback of some police departments regarding arrests for relatively minor offenses and keeping a lower profile in general to protect their officers.

Man, what a year.

LA County prevented their self-proclaimed Pro-2A sheriff from closing down gun stores.

Does anyone feel as though we really have entered a different reality?

Yep..Cops pulled back, it was mob rule. Same thing happened in Ferguson and Baltimore fairly recently.
