Those aren't actually lies; judging by the numbers, Labour has a considerable majority among those under the age of 30, and today's polls show 50% remain vs. 45% leave in a hypothetical second referendum (that's now off the table). But Britain had to stand together today to prevent the most left-leaning and potentially most irresponsible government the country has been threatened with in living memory.

Actually, I struggle to find an example for a comparably radical elected government from anywhere in Europe in living memory. Even Sweden in the 1980s was right-wing compared to Corbyn's offerings… and that's saying something. Heck, he was essentially offering to pull a Venzuela on Britain. Such a tedious little man. I guess it took him a lot of restraint not to demand the Queen be guillotined.

At least my next plant shopping trip to Holland will be a bit cheaper

The media has portrayed the situation like a massive shift occurred after the Brexit referendum with people waking up to reality. In reality no such thing has happened, a significant majority still supports Brexit, the media just makes it seem otherwise.

They've had that same youth majority for a long time without much effect. Young people that have little want to be given everything by those that have more than them. Then when they get older they have more than others and don't feel like sharing everything. When people get older they tend to get more conservative. Basic human nature.

The "Man of the people" bit with this kind of leader doesn't refer to them, it refers to the people with pitchforks, torches and Kalashnikovs needed to chase them off of their throne.

The Brexit referendum result was 52% for Leave and 48% for Remain. The Conservatives now scored 56%, so an actual increase unlike what virtually the entire western MSM tried to fool people into thinking.
