Paul Dickson wrote a great read and a fast read. The author introduced a little known Allied General from Canada-GEN. HDG CRERAR. He had a roller coaster relationship with his Boss FM Montgomery but had the confidence of the Supreme Commander, GEN. EISENHOWER. He was stodgy, unemotional but was a brilliant political general that probably should have made policy in Canada instead of taking on the command of the First Canadian Army? Again enjoy the read.
