Ignore Mardonius, he is not a High Priest. Given his political allegiance he is a High Mullah. Guys like him have one item on their political agenda; undermining the West in favour of his beloved islamist regime. To my chagrin there have been numerous western governments that obliged the likes of him for too long. Trump did not and that is why he has this blistering hatred for the man and his supporters.

He "supports" and cries out for the "Heart of US Democracy" so long as that heart beats the rhythm of sanctions relief and acquiescence for Iran's despised clique of criminal mass murderers. When it doesn't, he avails himself of the pseudo-academic language of western liberals decrying "white supremacists" and "reactionaries".

His passion for the DNC stems from the fact that Democrats have historically been willing to go easy on Iran's regime and look the other way when they torture, murder and loot Iranians and other people in the Mid-East for their personal gain. He doesn't have a moral fiber in his entire body.

They should make you the High Priest of assumptions over here. If something bothers you, why don't you react to the content of my posts in stead of trying to explain my motivations.

So much whataboutism in this thread.

1610113631647.webp < This is a riot (at early stage on the picture)

1610113702972.webp <- This is a protest
1610113924355.webp <- this is a riot (well advanced stage, this one)

Is it so hard ?

So what Telmar, the senate and most US politicians are so far from most Americans in terms of wealth and privilege they may as well have exotic animals and the obligatory golden toilet. The fact that law and order was suspended (by dispassionate politicians) in many US cities allowing homes and business to be destroyed for months means that politicians should suck it up where they live. Politicians deliberately hit normal people where they live, they practically suspended the constitution for many areas. So how is "storming" the senate a big loss for those people, the senate was acting against them.

There's an ethnic divide between left and right in USA now. The language is simply not conciliatory since the election, the pot was stirred and people are looking to get revenge (!) for having endured Trump for 4 years. The language is getting more Yugoslav if anything, the comparison does stand. There will be no let up and twitter is full of morons making lists of people to be punished.

Mainstream media:
Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleansing the movement he commands is going to be something else.

This is stirring differences on close to racial lines and tbh much of what passes as commentary might get caught by regulators if it happened in EU.
I don't think the USA is going away but neither is the conflict. A 3rd party may help by breaking down some of the class barriers... we'll see.
Just an observation, if I were Trump, I would be making plans to tour my overseas hotels on Jan 20th.

@tea-drinker

I agree with much you say. I don' t think the US is going yougoslav however, the US is as many countries, like France and Slovakia, going through a crisis of political representation that ends up in a rejection of all the institutions.

I wish there would be simple solutions, but there are none that I see.

In a way, it' s sad that Trump let his ego destroy what was really politics for the middle class. It' s sad that a more unpredictable yet less invasive foreign policy might not continue. Serving the middle class is lowering taxes, promoting business, regulating borders...Trump has done all that. Really, I'm the first to admit it. He will make it harder for people promoting that agenda because they will be compared to him.

While in the end, only his ego and values were abhorrent, the political program was' nt.

What he did since November is probably one of the reasons more Americans wanted him out than in. There' s no treason, only the choice of the people.

74mil voted for him, that is 13mil more than in 2016.
Hillary had a superior popular vote score than Trump in 2016.

The victory isn't based on the popular vote, but on the Electoral College.

Limiting one's "analysis" to "the will of the people" is lazy and plain false.

less than reposting a video

Didn't bother clicking on your link.

Anyway, my point stands.

It is not "too little, too late" at all.
You were the one talking about context, right?
Then what was the context: contested elections, Senate opposing the certification of the Electoral College votes.

Until the matter was resolved Trump was well within his right not to concede anything.

Your analysis is false, and comparison irrelevant, your understanding of what your "typing about" (can't even you say you are "talking about" anything since you don't even understand the topic) close to 0. You are trying to make points through skewed reflection and absurd false equivalency.
Like most of the points you have been trying to make.

Dominion is suing Sidney Powell for....wait for it...wait for it...1,3 billion dollars (American  )

That's their right to do so.

Though, in order to prove this is, indeed, defamation, they will also have to prove what Sidney Powell is false.
That's how a defamation case works.
Both parties have to substantiate their claims.

Them asking for 1,3Bil is nothing but a form of intimidation.

And here is you, in the middle, subjugated like a baby at the sight of shiny and dangling toy.

Its funny how westerners instead of answering straightforward questions bring up this "whataboutism" bullshit all the time. I would call this phenomenon "whataboutwhataboutism". ?

This election is a unique one. It is not based on "Vote for" but built on "Vote against" . This election is born on "fear and hate" from both side.
So instead of looking for how many people admire a candidate, we should look for how many despise a candidate.
This partially explain a question: Why Trump lost even his rallies were quite impressive. Because even D nominate a pig as candidate, they can still win the election. In fact , a little pink piggy would be much more popular and respectable than Trump and Biden.

A phenomenon more interesting than whataboutism, is that merely 15-20 years ago, everything that went wrong in Russia was blamed on USA. And USA was like: ?‍♂️

Now everything that goes wrong in USA is blamed on Russia. And Russia is like: ?‍♂️

The question about Maidan? Yes, I did, more at first, a bit less for a while and wholeheartedly after Russia attacked and I do to this date. More in private if you care, though I cannot see why you should.

Could our Russian, anti-russian/Crimea/Ukraine Cohort please attend their own thread?

This is the US 2020 presidential election thread. Unless you have a signed Memo from Putin ordering a buffalo hat, you cant come in.

Thank you.
