The statue of Confederate Army general and an early member of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) Nathan Bedford Forrest, located in Nashville, Tennessee, could be replaced by a statue of famous singer-songwriter Dolly Parton, according to a local ABC News report.
At the moment, local politicians are looking for options to replace the statue of the Confederate leader, and a top candidate for that prominent real estate is Parton, who is from Tennessee herself.
If we want to preserve history, then let’s tell it the right way," said Republican Tennessee Rep. Jeremy Faison, according to ABC. "How about getting a lady in there? My daughter is 16, and I would love for her to come into the Capitol and see a lady up there... What’s wrong with someone like Dolly Parton being put in that alcove?”
According to the report, Faison said that there are "100 other people deserving of [the] post" more than Forrest, and threw out Parton's name due to her resounding popularity in Tennessee.
The May 25 killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the global wave of anti-racist protests that followed has reignited a campaign to remove statues and other symbols honoring Confederate leaders.

Without knowing what happened before, and why the fighting started. The shooting is absolutely justified, because when you try to open someone elses skull hitting him in the head with a full blow from a skateboard you are swinging with both hands, your intentions are absolutely homicidal, and you deserve to suffer a heavy lead intoxication.

There is a longer versión of that incident, were you see 3 guys fighting with the shooter 50 metres away from where the shooting took place. Seems that the guy did everything he could to not shoot them until it became a life or death scenario. Have to add that even when he shots, he shows restraint, as he only engages the biggest threath to his life, anyone with less restraint would have lighten up the other 2 or 3 assaulting him.
At 06:51 you can see a group assaulting the shooter, then the video doesnt come back to him until the shooting is over.
Now seriously, Law and Order need to be restored ASAP. Enough of this charade of letting anyone and his dog to go around taliban style trashing anything they dont like because it doesnt have a videoclip on the MTV.

They have let the mobs rule, allowing them to spread destruction death and missery. They betrayed their cities and states, and gave wings to the violent radicals. They left LEOs to the vultures, verbally supporting the protests, while the leos were beaten, shot, stabbed, rolled over by cars... At places civilians who were left on their own, had to take up arms to defend their comunities, their businesses and their lives, because in the dire times some fvcking politicians desserted them and left them to the wolves. Sickening...
Its going to take a lot of blood and head smashing by Law enforcement to recover normality, just because some of the elected officials, who were supposed to lead and take decissions, desserted their posts and took no action because it could go against their party/personnal political chances in the upcoming elections. This bunch of coward elected officials should be prosecuted for dereliction of duty, as in the time of need for the people from their states and cities they basically said "screw you, I dont want anything to do with this shitshow as it will affect my ratings/the party ratings. Im not going to thake the PR hit". Spineless cowards.
Thats why I say that this charade must end, and civilian authorities from Governors to City Majors need to take the reins and do their godamned Jobs. I do not care if they are Democrats or Republicans (everyone knows in which camp dessertion of duty has been more prevalent, but I suppose that there have also been some rotten apples on rep side). If they lack the guts to take hard decisions they better step aside and give way for someone more capable. They can be the authority, but they have failed everyone with their absolute lack of leadership.
