I come to this website for military photos, mil discussion and a bit of lighthearted fun. Somewhere to escape the shitshow of the modern world I guess, but I realise other people come for other things.

My fear is simply that too much political chat will kill the forum, seen it happen before that's all.

ok, this is driving me insane. BLM is derived from a FALSE PREMISE. in other words, its a crock of S**t. the whole "hands up dont shoot" DIDNT happen. what the hell is wrong with the world? I would guess that most people that give credence to BLM, probably dont know this.
the events that transpired in Ferguson that gave birth to BLM, despite all the actual lies about the event, ended up being a justified shooting.
people of all colors are wrongly shot by police, it has nothing to do with racism most of the time, and actually, just about none of the time.
there is not systemic racism in any police department, or in any local, state or federal government agency.
and if there is some backwater somewhere trying to get away with something, it wont last.

Heard that it started as a by-product/excuse to riot & loot for local muslims, and is turning into a full blown street war.
Looks like the first days of goddamned Syrian civil war.
Lots of NSFW videos and photos on the net. As per what I was able to see there could be some dead bodies too.
I was able to get something about Moroccans, Argelians and Chechens going full Jihadi on each other, but my French has not improve anything for the last+20years ? ?
Wouldnt rule out Airforce launching an airstrike to calm things down …. Jeeeeez….

I am only aware of the big lines, I won't go into details.

Apparently 3 people (1 Chechen and 2 Albanians) got assaulted in Dijon following a "deal gone bad" by a group of "Algerians".
I don't know about the assaulted's status, I have read the Chechen died, but I haven't verified. Don't know what happened to the Albanians either.

Anyway, France's Chechen "community" (I'm putting "..." here in an attempt to make the distinction between the good ones and the bad ones) decided to go down Dijon for retribution. Fights broke out, guns were fired, people got wounded probably (haven't checked) or maybe died (haven't checked either).

The police came but rather late after it all started and were fairly passive, so to speak, merely trying to separate the two groups and not involving themselves directly. Contrary to the police's approach regarding today's protests of medical staff, demanding better working conditions among other things, where they happily charged fired tear-gas and so on.

But as I said, I am only following this kerfufle from far away.

From what I'm reading in Russian sources, the term "nationality" in that part of the world is very loose. It's all about clan loyalty above all else.
