How does this keep coming back to race?!? At this time, the whole Rittenhouse thing is only tangentially related to race at best. It's really about the right to self defense and the blue areas' willingness to use ANTIFA and BLM as terror troops to advance their agenda.

Legitimate at its core in the sense that "despite representing only *can't remember the number but it's rather low*% of the population, the Black community commits *can't remember the number but it's high*% of crimes in the country".
Meaning that black people are more likely to find themselves facing the police, but also more likely to be the victims of their own community.

I have the impression, and that is just my personal impression, that BLM got coopted to only mean "black people are the constant victims of the police", though statistics suggest otherwise (white people are apparently many more times victims of violent encounters with the police), and that the police (depicted as predominantly white, though it is not) is actively going after, if not hunting, black people because of "racism" and "white supremacy". To the point that the race baiters and other race grifters (no matter their skin color) will treat black LEOs as race-traitors.

Many contemporary narratives from BLM are indeed based on lies. Even the current Jacob Black one is based on lies. But activists and their allies in the media are more than happy to push these narratives for political reasons.
