Mueller cited indictments made against Russian citizens as proof of the alleged Russian interference in the election, although indictments themselves are not proof of anything. Mueller made that clear when he said he would not be commenting "on the guilt or innocence of any defendant."

Mueller said that his team had not made any determination as to whether Trump had committed a crime when it came to allegations that he may have obstructed investigation efforts and noted that since a sitting president cannot be charged with a federal crime while in office. Charging Trump with a crime was therefore “not an option we could consider,” he said, adding that it would be "unfair to potentially accuse somebody of a crime” when they can’t defend themselves in court.
Notably, Mueller did not accuse Attorney General William Barr of misrepresenting his report when he presented a summary of its findings to the media back in March. Many Democrats and media figures had accused Barr of trying to spin the contents of the report in Trump's favor.

Concluding the brief remarks, Mueller told reporters that he felt it was “not appropriate” for him to publicly speak further on the matter. He said his report should “speak for itself” and that he would not comment on any alternative “conclusions or hypotheticals” regarding Trump and the election.

And I am okay with that.

He made his position clear and I perfectly understand and respect his will to just step out. He did his job, period.

Unfortunately, both sides are going to screech over it due to the fact they didn't get what they wanted.

Meh....it was the usual clusterfuck. Best thing that could happen for Trump is to be impeached, Mueller has no evidence. Nothing. It would be a political disaster for the Democrats just like it was for the Republicans who impeached Clinton and that SOB was guilty. So...Mueller is saying "I can't say that Trump didn't commit a crime". WTF is that? The prosecutors job is to find evidence of a crime, Mueller has none.
Dershowitz: Shame on Robert Mueller for exceeding his role
Virtually everybody agrees that, in the normal case, a prosecutor should never go beyond publicly disclosing that there is insufficient evidence to indict. No responsible prosecutor should ever suggest that the subject of his investigation might indeed be guilty even if there was insufficient evidence or other reasons not to indict. Supporters of Mueller will argue that this is not an ordinary case, that he is not an ordinary prosecutor, and that President Trump is not an ordinary subject of an investigation. They are wrong. The rules should not be any different.

Versus Ken Starr.
Starr submitted his report to the House Judiciary Committee, saying that he had proof of eleven impeachable offenses. The House of Representatives approved two articles of impeachment, both regarding his relationship with Lewinsky. House prosecutors said that Clinton deserved to be convicted and removed from office because had committed perjury and obstruction of justice in the Jones investigation. Lying under oath is clearly a crime.

Mueller thinks he can simply drop his bag of crap in the people's lap and say, "See Ya! I'm done!". No sir, he'll need to testify, answer questions and explain himself.

Not a bad press conference in my opinion . Trump seemed very complimentary towards the UK which in this day and age is highly unusual . Of course that's on the back of a no expense spared buffet , but non the less I'll take it .

Trump ripped Khan after Khan ripped Trump in an editorial. Khan got what he deserved. As far as trade, Trump thinks the US could be doing two to three times MORE trade with the UK>. Contrast this with Obama, who told the Brits they would be at the back of the line in trade if they left the EU.

While the Bromance between President Trump and President Macron isn’t what it was less than two years ago, they still had to show solidarity and smiles for the D-Day celebrations in Normandy today:

Key figure that Mueller report linked to Russia was a State Department intel source

In a key finding of the Mueller report, Ukrainian businessman Konstantin Kilimnik, who worked for Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, is tied to Russian intelligence.
But hundreds of pages of government documents — which special counsel Robert Mueller possessed since 2018 — describe Kilimnik as a “sensitive” intelligence source for the U.S. State Department who informed on Ukrainian and Russian matters.
Why Mueller’s team omitted that part of the Kilimnik narrative from its report and related court filings is not known. But the revelation of it comes as the accuracy of Mueller’s Russia conclusions face increased scrutiny.
The incomplete portrayal of Kilimnik is so important to Mueller’s overall narrative that it is raised in the opening of his report. “The FBI assesses” Kilimnik “to have ties to Russian intelligence,” Mueller’s team wrote on Page 6, putting a sinister light on every contact Kilimnik had with Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman.
What it doesn’t state is that Kilimnik was a “sensitive” intelligence source for State going back to at least 2013 while he was still working for Manafort, according to FBI and State Department memos I reviewed.
Kilimnik was not just any run-of-the-mill source, either.
He interacted with the chief political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, sometimes meeting several times a week to provide information on the Ukraine government. He relayed messages back to Ukraine’s leaders and delivered written reports to U.S. officials via emails that stretched on for thousands of words, the memos show.
The FBI knew all of this, well before the Mueller investigation concluded.
