Other Post All things Australian

Shapes and the Caramello Koala's are decent. Vegemite is made by leaving a opened can of Fosters in the sun for 3 weeks to allow slugs and wasps to drown in it. The brown sludge leftover is then put in a jar with a Vegemite label slapped on it.

Ah well, not every Aussie product is crap and re: Australians some of them even pass onto their offsprings some decent musical taste.

Steel shot is less accurate and less energy then lead shot and just what aboriginals have got to do with a European firearm, I mean they didn't even invent a bow . But don't laugh they have banned it in several states apparently.

"Australia has a long history of hunting and gathering. Indigenous people across Australia have hunted wildlife for at least 35,000 years, relying on hunting as a food source, clothing, shelter, and cultural and spiritual needs.

During that time, the people living in Victoria left physical evidence of their activities that now survive as cultural heritage places and objects. Aboriginal places and objects can be found all over Victoria and are often near major food sources such as rivers, lakes, swamps and the coast.

Aboriginal places and objects are present at some hunting locations and it is important to remember that they are protected by the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic). Hunters should always be mindful of this as some hunting, driving and camping activity has the potential to interfere with, or even destroy, Aboriginal places and objects."

Recreational shooting occurs where traditional owners hunted and lived. If people could leave areas as they found them, we'd all be a bit better off.
6 duck bag limits have really knocked the energy out of duck season at any rate. It used to be boom time in my town. You knew when it was hunting season because you couldn't miss it. Not any more.

I heard that Canberra is where cars that turn out to be a lemon are left abandoned by there owners..

Judith died two years ago, thought I would post one of the last of the group before she passed. Sounded as good then as the first time recorded.

Yes they are applying this to NZ land aswell. Despite selling it and then developed for European agriculture they are now making all kinds of claims for water control and anything else such as the air at one point. Even throw away sea shell dumps are considered protected. Funny though when they get the rights to minerals, a hydro dam or geothermal well in its time to tap those. To hell with the wildlife, kayakers and the neighbors property values.

A gun shoots a duck at some 40 yards in the air. Aboriginees never had that skill. They are simply being used to ban it.

Such as the seal pup hunt bans for skins in Canada, which funded the Inuit lifestyle, also they wanted to stop the Inuit from hunting whales then the greenies decided they wanted to stop the oil exploration so they got all matey and siad they would benevolently condon their whale hunts.

This is more about banning guns and greenie feelings than anything real. If they want to go on about animal welfare well they let loose wolves throughout US states....
