Politics All Things Trump

I'm quite happy with the Trumpster. Economy is booming, unemployment at 50 year lows across the board for African Americans, women, Hispanics. Whitey too. And bringing back good jobs in manufacturing. He's re-negotiating crap trade deals with the Chi-Coms, defeated ISIS and has tackled the severe border crisis with Mexico chichis an ongoing clusterfuck. So the Democrats response to all of these huge accomplishments? Threaten impeachment, hold AG Barr in contempt for not breaking Federal Law, and otherwise look like ridiculous retards. Trump's tax returns? Who the F*** cares Yes, that's really something to worry about.

AG should be signing off arrest warrants for numerous Demorat Senators on the charge of treason .... there treatment towards him in that hearing was a disgrace you could easy see the fustration on his face being asked retarded BS .
They are stalling for time because they fine well know that there glorified Messiah Obama and Hillary are both rotten to the core with guilt as are they .. and are doing all they can to hinder the process of clean up by the new AG .

Inspector General report on the shenanigans of how the whole Trump/Russia investigation got started, what abuses of the FISA Court occurred and by whom should be out in a month. Then AG Barr's investigation on the subject. The Dems have a great big fat sack full of nothing but empty threats. Honestly, once again, the Democrats look like they will commit slow suicide and the hill they have chosen to die on is as epically stupid as Mount Hillary....

Shanahan Finally Nominated, Confirmation May Be Tough
The Acting Defense Secretary, with less than two years of national security experience under his belt, is poised to take over a department in the throes of a rapid modernization project, while rattling sabres with Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, China, and Russia.

The longest acting defense secretary in US history has finally and officially been nominated for the job.
Patrick Shanahan, a 30-year Boeing executive with no prior government experience before coming to the Pentagon in 2017, will now start preparing to face the music on Capitol Hill, where he has received a pretty mixed reception during his 17 weeks as Acting Defense Secretary.
Since taking over from Jim Mattis on Jan. 1, after the former Marine general resigned due to differences with President Trump over Syria policy, Shanahan has mostly held the line on policies already in place, keeping an emphasis on modernization and the National Defense Strategy released last year.
The nomination comes at a challenging time for the Pentagon as the Trump administration ramps up pressure on Iran and Venezuela, while keeping an eye on a new round of ballistic missile tests in North Korea and scrambling to maintain the US military advantage over China and Russia. Over the past year, Shanahan has also pressed the case for standing up a Space Force, while managing almost 25,000 US troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
That is a full plate for any policymaker, but particularly one who had had no relevant foreign policy or military experience since becoming Mattis’ deputy less than two years ago.

Brilliant how Trump is changing the manufacture and supply lines out of China. Businesses are already leaving China and moving elsewhere.

Will the US Guitar Companies .. that use South Korea and Indonesia .. shift there budget models to America remains to be seen , Even the Mexican plant that makes the MIM Fender range .. I can't see that closing

If these companies move out of China that's a win. If these companies move out of China and back in the US, that's a double win.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chicoms heard Biden's stupid statements on China and then decided to renege on what they already agreed to, hoping to get a patsy like Biden in office in 2020.

Great editorial on Trump's China trade policy. From the article;

I’m a free trader and I hate tariffs — which are consumer taxes — but if ever there were a right time to impose punitive tariffs, it is now, and it is against China. President Trump is on the side of the angels on this one, and this is the right moment to shut down China’s abusive trade practices forever.
Start with the basic facts: The average tariff that we imposed on China when Trump entered the White House was about 4 percent. China’s tariffs on us were about 10 percent and, even when including the 10 percent tariff that Trump first imposed on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports in 2018, our tariffs were still lower than theirs. So the playing field is not level and is especially tilted against us, given that Beijing’s nontariff barriers in China can make it prohibitively expensive to do business there. We have an open market competing against the world’s second-largest economy whose doors are slammed shut.

I feel the same. I'm against tariffs, except for now. They are the ONLY possible response. China has been eating our lunch, because we let them. We let them cheat, steal, close off their markets while holding ours wide open. This may be the last chance in history to fight back, and tariffs are the weapon. The Chinese are running out of American goods to tax, the US is only getting started doling out pain. China CANNOT win this war, if Trump doesn't yield. And he won't.

It's also about time American business put some skin in the game and supported the President, though.

Once China runs out of American goods to tariff, (almost there), they can start unloading US Bonds. That's their choice, but it's a double edged sword, since the stability of the Chinese house of cards economy, depends on those US Treasuries to create a foundation of stability for China.

The last two videos clearly show what a "genius" he really is when it comes to financial things and what he really understands about business.

Trump Tells Pentagon Chief He Does Not Want War With Iran
16dc-prexy-sub-superJumbo.jpg

President Trump has sought to put the brakes on a brewing confrontation with Iran in recent days, telling the acting defense secretary, Patrick Shanahan, that he does not want to go to war with Iran, administration officials said, while his senior diplomats began searching for ways to defuse the tensions.
Mr. Trump’s statement, during a Wednesday morning meeting in the Situation Room, sent a message to his hawkish aides that he does not want the intensifying American pressure campaign against the Iranians to explode into open conflict.
For now, an administration that had appeared to be girding for conflict seems more determined to find a diplomatic off-ramp.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the leader of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bin Said, on Wednesday to confer about the threat posed by Iran, according to a statement. Long an intermediary between the West and Iran, Oman was a site of a secret channel in 2013 when the Obama administration was negotiating a nuclear agreement with Iran.

The Chicoms have clearly targeted US farmers as a political tactic. If Trump doesn't lose his will and he won't, the Chicoms will lose badly. There is no other possible outcome.
