When I was at the wood yard, I got a bit of rough cut wood for the sides and top £5 - and had some leftover floor board for the shelves - and match board for the back - so not cost a lot to make
Sanded edges to round things off - stained antique pine and waxed with rugger brown coloured wax - polished

Any idea what it is for?:)

Just a little rack to hold amp and CD player - over the top of the printer and scanner
All the nails that can be seen are copper, and it was stained and varnished

This was step grandsons pine bed slats - last time we moved stepdaughter the bed was knackered, but the wood was too good to throw away - so I used the pine bed slats to make a wooden shoe rack - stained and waxed - to keep my work boots in

It could probably be a nice shelter and nest for those tedious pigeons around your home. ;)

Mrs BCN was looking at some stupid little outdoor table at £90 - £100 for the patio above the house

So last wet day I pulled a few lumps of wood into my work tunnel, and you end up with a custom-made to measure table

2.4 m decking board that has been lying about for at least 20 years (so it's 600 mm square)
3.6 m length of 2" x 2"
and some 1" x 2" roofing lath offcuts
Stainless steel screws
4 black plastic door stops as feet - total under £10

Not something I built, but related. Found some of my old pics on Imgur, and have a few to share.

This is an old Stanley block plane, I got from an antique tool dealer. It says "PATD 10-12-97" (1897). Spent a good amount of time truing, tuning. There were hammer marks on the throat plate, but was still able to achieve a fine level of tune. Installed a high carbon Hock (brand) iron. Perfect as can be--served me well for many years, and is now in the possession of one of my past apprentices. :)
