There has to be a way to identify and stop terrorists whether they are white, brown, Muslim, Christian or a f*cking space alien. If our LE isn't competent enough to stop a Parkland or Pulse Club shooter with all of the warning signs presented to them, then we are truly screwed because the next mass shooter already has his weapon. I´m sure there is a "Snowden" way to do it. Surveillance on US citizens who have´nt yet done anything other than publish their outrageous views on the world and their fellow men? On american land? That´s a step ahead from monitoring groups of foreigners abroad or even in America. The right to privacy is IMO equal to the right to bear arms. I don´t think things can go on, and I think that something needs to give...I would put more surveillance but that also won´t go down very well.

When you think that some countries have citizens armed just as heavily as Americans, but without these massive shootings, I think one cannot avoid analyzing the culture and the environment that generates this. As HRH stated, the news cycle is awful, but I would add the rethoric of some opinion leaders and not only in politics but in show biz, the economy...Some people put out very harsh language and loons get confused by all that, get even more excited...and then go shoot their former employer and colleagues, classmates, the local Blacks, the local Jews, the local Whites, the local Gays....
