*To be fair, he's famous for being a VC recipient from WW2, which he got for being a BAMF on 3 separate occasions from the 19th of June 1941, through to the 6th of July where he was ultimately severely wounded, spending 26 hours on the field before he was rescued, for being a diplomat of some note, a State President of the RSL, being Knighted 3 times, and being Governor of New South Wales for 15 years through both Liberal and Labor state governments. He was also famous for having one leg, due to his wounds received on the 6th of July 1941.

Couldn't care less they changed one word, but Jesus Christ the virtue signalling is pathetic. And since when do we refer to aboriginals as 'first nations'? There was no established nations before European colonizers so it makes no sense.

There are different words used to refer to First Nations people and these words have changed over time. Ultimately it's important to respect what individuals, families, or communities prefer, and allow them to define what is appropriate.. Learn more about this from Common Ground.

There is no consensus there, which isn't surprising considering the vast amount of groups involved.
I did see a comment from the Senate late last year, Senator Thorp (while we don't do % of indigenousness anymore, you either are or your aren't, would have to be struggling to gather more than a couple of % of indigenous 'blood') indicating during a speech about the 3 official flags, that we were on stolen land. While that mentality is going strong, there will never be enough changes to the song, or to the flag, or to native title etc etc.

That's when you say it was conquered land and as per UN treaties you have no more say on it. Plus nothing is ever enough for these people short of a Mao style dictatorship so F*** off.
