From a strategy point of view, you are correct. From the perspective of Trump's age, he probably shouldn't run again as well. That being said, I'm not sure how Trump or a lot of his base would react to Trump not running again.

In theory, I actually would like to see that take place. In our current circumstances, however, all it would do is demonstrate is that Biden is a senile old man. No one would actually learn the current US positions because Biden's handlers, who in practice control policy, wouldn't be on the stage.
