Well, after an amazingly succesful launch that may have saved fuel for an extra ten years of deployment (great rocket that Ariane V), the JWST has solar panels deployed, the sunscreen fully deployed and mirror fully deployed. There was really a worry that one the many steps for deployment (354 I think) might not work.

JWST is arriving at its station at the L2 orbit point sufficiently far from Earth to require very little orbital adjustments. Unlike Hubble, the JWST cannot be serviced as it is at a distance of 5 times the one between Earth and Moon. So nothing can go wrong....and it cost 11 billion dollars.

Minor adjustment to be made to the mirror, but if the 4 optics are OK, then the exploration will start.
