Politics Protests in Belarus

Russians are eating popcorn and laughing at nexta scumbags making idiots of themselves while Ukrainian patriots soiling their bloomers as usual in seemingly unrelated event :)

Dudya's program about Nexta "killed" the protests in Belarus
It confirmed that Nexsta works for Polish money and is supervised by Polish special services.

Dud very nicely led the workers of Neksta to the conclusion that they, in fact, working as propagandists and not understanding the methods and are no better than Lukashenka.
And for the youth of Belarus, who, judging by what I heard from my Belarusian subscribers, got acquainted with Dudya's program to a large extent, it was a real shock.

And hence the fall of the crowd scene on Sunday.

The inauguration day (by the way when is it? :) ) will be the ultimate test. If the people will show up to protest... then what? I don't know myself. Belarussians are still in a very nascent state of building their national identity. Still have no clue how this is going turn out medium term. In a short term, I believe the protests will die down.

Deadline is October 9
This isn't the first "revolution" you know, he had a "secret" inauguration once or twice before that was revealed a few weeks later on state owned media. Also we already have 2-3 sets of exile governments recognized by US, Poland, Germany and baltic superpowers.

What?

Let's try this another way. when somebody says "Belarus" what is the first thing that pops into the head? Lukashenko L'etat c'est moi nothing else. There is simply no other vivid imagery associated with "Belarus" at this point. This is what I meant.

So it's all about your head and the things you use as a source of information not about our national identity))

OK, put something else, but Lukashenko in my head about Belarus post-1991.

Why post-1991? We weren't forced into USSR

Ok, what has almost nothing to do with Lukashenko: automotive industry, agriculture, HTP hi-tech hub, new silk road (very ambitious project with China), medicine (lowest maternity death rate in the world one of the lowest infant death rates).
But if you want to focus on the leaders 2 presidents and 3 prime-ministers of Israel were born in Belarus.

Not what I asked. A vivid nation building moment captured on film, not the Wikipedia for Belarus. Forget about Ukraine, let's take a look at your other neighbors.

I just don't see that pivotal moment in your modern history, yet.

It was in 1996 referendum where majority decided to stay pro-Soviet and pro-Russian:

But the West did not like it.

I'm pretty sure our next leader will be pro-Russian.

If these numbers are valid today then your next leader will have the last name Lukashenko for not just years, but decades to come.

Most of the west never heard of your country, until now....

And most of us would think a pro-russian leader, would be best for your country.

There is a conundrum because all the sides don't mind pro-Russian president, but one side wants a pro-Russian president whose last name IS NOT Lukashenko while the other side insists that the pro-Russian president last name should be Lukashenko only. :)

World’s Strangest Names | Top 10
BY MAGNUS347 · PUBLISHED NOVEMBER 15, 2016 · UPDATED NOVEMBER 26, 2016

Here are the world’s strangest names of the world. Some of them are celebrities, other have become celebrities just because of their name, and others were simply just hated by their parents. What would you do if you were born with any of these names? Enjoy the top 10 strangest / unusual names of the world!

10. Joker Arroyo
What’s funny about his name is that he has actually a very serious profession, a senator in the Phillipines. Apparently he got this strange name from his dad that loved to play cards..

9. God Shammgod
A professional basketball player and even played in the NBA in the early 90’s, so maybe you’ve heard of him.

8. North west
The well known Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their son a quite unusual name. North West. The reason why they gave their son this strange name is probably because of the fathers name, Kanye WEST. Funny little joke they made right?

7. Ben Dover
Ironicly, Ben Dover is a well known english porn-actor, director and producer.

6. Dicksmasher mcironcock
A person was actually named this by his parents. Wether it was because his parents hated him or just thought it was a good name with no bad intentions, is unknown. His strange name was found by a postman that had to take a photo of it, causing the name to explode all over the internet. Wether he changed his strange name or if he still has it, is unknown.

5. Dick Assman
Having this name probably improved his business as a gas station owner in Canada. Especially when he was interviewed by David letterman in 1995 for having quite an unusual name.

4. KentuckyFriedCrueltyDotcom
Born as Chris, but was a big fither against the KFC for their animal abouse. He went as far as changing his name to KentuckyFriedCruelty.com.

3. GoldenPalaceDotCom
A similar name, but with a different story. A big casino paid in 1995 parents to a newborn child 15.000$ to give their child the strangest name ever. Most likely to promote this casino..

2. Nicholas Unless-Jesus-Christ-Had-Died-For-Thee-Thou-Hadst-Been-Damned Barbon
An English economist and physician and known to be one of the first proponents of the free market. So why the name?? His father was a Puritan, a strongely believe in the protestant christianity. In the early 1600’s it was common for Puritan parents to name their children with a christian message.

1. Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116
In 1991 a child in sweden was born, intended with this name. His parents, Elisabeth Hallin and Lasse Diding gave their son this name and said it was pronounced ” AlbIn”. Why? Because they were protesting against the swedish name law.. This was because they had failed to register a previous name (it’s required to register a childs name in a certain time in sweden). They recieved a fine of 700+ $ and got their revenge by registering a 43-character name.

That'll teach that nasty government! Well worth scarring your child for life ... Should have had their parental rights revoked.

is he the President of France?

Just like the recent elections with Lukashenko's imaginary 83%. Totally legit...

I would say that in 1996, these numbers could have been legit. It was hell on Earth for the common folk in Russia and Ukraine at that time, and Soviet-style management style could have appealed to the residents of Belarus at that time given the historical context.
