Had a meeting with Chinese clients year ago. They were very adament about them taking taiwan (brought it up themselves). They don't think about costs and casualties the same way we do.

Few years ago Russia was building up their forces and people were in denial, until the operation started. Hopefully not this time.

In China, they showed the concept of the SS-UAV Jiutian UAV, a carrier of FPV drones and cruise missiles. Despite the fact that this is a concept, it is already possible to estimate in what direction the development of military unmanned vehicles will move. At the first stage, swarms of drones will appear, then they will begin to create flying drone carriers. The flight of the first UAV sample is promised in June. As reported, the Jiutian UAV is designed to launch more than 100 drones or small-sized missiles. It will have a flight range of up to 7,000 km, they plan to launch drones from an altitude of 15 km. The UAV has a modular architecture, it is possible to replace the payload in it within two hours. The SS-UAV Jiutian flying aircraft carrier will be able to carry LS-6, YL-V302 guided bombs, TL-7 (KD-88), PL-11AE and PL-12E missiles. The wingspan of the SS-UAV Jiutian UAV is 25 meters, takeoff weight is 16 tons, payload is 6 tons, flight speed is up to 700 km/h, with a duration of up to 12 hours.

A graphite bomb designed to disable a power plant and cut off electricity was shown in China. Graphite weapons can affect control systems, causing power outages over an area of at least 10,000 square meters. No details about the name or type of such weapons are given. According to experts, it is a graphite bomb. In the footage, a mobile launcher launches a projectile at a distance of up to 290 km. When a graphite munition with a warhead weighing 490 kg explodes, 90 cylindrical submunitions are ejected. Then thin carbon threads are dispersed, which cause a short circuit in the energy infrastructure networks.

If anybody hasn't seen Professor Jason Crowler of Chico State in California and his Youtube channel Type 56: The Story of China's Army, give it a try. This guy is interesting and informative.

I don't recommend jumping into the middle of any of the stories. He breaks things down into pieces and numbers the episodes. Like:

In China, they filmed the launch of missiles with a new rocket engine, with a deflected thrust vector. Judging by the video, the missiles change their flight path by 90 degrees almost instantly. At the same time, the missile moves at a huge speed. It is reported that the engine's starting acceleration can reach 2.6 Mach, and the maximum speed is from 16 to 20 thousand km / h. It is worth noting that it is possible that this is just computer editing.

Not my go to guy for this sort of thing. But the PLAN (Chinese Navy) doesn't get as much coverage as is warranted.

Now what sort of deal do you suppose they cut that has the Houthis attacking all around the Bab al Mandab, yet these juicy targets sail by without so much as a LaDeDa.

Most great respected Professor Jason Clower (Gunfucius) does a Q&A guest shot with Gun Jesus. Both of their perspectives are more focused on history through the lens of firearms and development of firearms. But inside of that box they have both earned my respect.

This Q&A runs an hour and twenty, but Ian did put chapter titles and reference links in the expanded description box.

For me, best video of the month. Yes better than Coldplaya.
