Well, regardless of the future repercussion it may have regarding the presidency (in fact I don't know how it could have any) Dems starting to pile up against Cuomo is not so much a good thing but the right thing to do.

Pile up may not be the adequate term, but this is serious. What Cuomo did is extremely serious, and the alleged reasons why he did what he did are also serious.
Him being called out is the right thing to do.

But unless she plays an active and vocal role in this case, I don't see how it could help Kamala in 2024. Assuming she presents herself (which she may).

And apparently Gretchen Withmore is possibly next to face that sort of accusation.

Which is great news for everybody opposing the Dems. Kamala is an absolute dumpster fire of a candidate, unpopular even amongst Dems. She is destined to fail as Jodie Whittaker was bound to fail at her portrayal of Doctor Who.

On paper she checked a bunch of boxes. In reality, I would think that her massive negative image would cancel out those on paper boxes (state of residence, offices held, etc.) I suspect that the real reason was that he felt that he needed a non white female to cement the base and, despite all of their bluster, the Dems don't have a strong farm club in that department. She was probably the only one who actually even came remotely close in the area of qualification. The only other national profile candidates that I can think of that would meet the obligatory but never stated requirement of female person of color are Stacey Abrams and a bevy of US house members. They'd be even worse than Kalma if that is even possible.

Let's take a look at the facts.

1) Illinois was never a slave state. Those of African descent willingly moved there looking for economic opportunity.
2) For practical purposes, Illinois never had a history of Jim Crow, and, in fact worked against it long before it was fashionable to do so.

3) Illinois fought for the North during the Civil War, the side that generally worked against slavery.
4) I don't have anything to back this up, but given post Civil War immigration patterns, I'd guess that the majority of Caucasian citizens in the Chicago area arrived after the Civil War.

This is nothing but another taxpayer funded pandering scheme.
