Funny "reverse uno card", they're looking for dissent against the Biden admin. However an oath to the constitution is directly against everything they stand for so have fun with all that good idea fairy BS.
They made it pretty clear and obvious that they do not understand, know, care (and possibly all three all together) about the Constitution and merely summon its name as a mega-church "pastor" would use the name of "God".
Dog whistle, I think is the term? You utter a certain word and all of sudden everybody is standing at attention.
Well, same thing here. "Constitution", "democracy", "rule of law", etc... these have now turned into buzzwords.
But I can already hear the "yes but Trump asked for loyalty!".
Yes, indeed he did.
-He asked.
-He didn't have people swear an oath.
-He asked for loyalty: in other words people being truthful to him.
-He didn't involve the Constitution.
Being loyal to someone does not stop one to also be faithful to founding principles (in this case: the Constitution).
Also, on a side note, Democrat Congress leader Naddler rejected Congress-member Gaetz proposal to begin each meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
