In other words, the slow vote-counting process in Brazil was particularly problematic because it contributed to existing political tensions and made it easy for vote-counters to distort the results. So a national electronic voting system was implemented, a system not visibly tainted by fraud.

2004, 2008 and 2012 and 2016 were presidential elections easily won. There was no debate. And the candidates had values as well the interest of their country at heart.
