Ukraine doesnt need to train more troops, the external partners do it, for free, and certainly the UK, we equip the soldier with kit, body armour etc. I think UK has trained 45000 so far.
Poland trains Ukrainian soldiers for free as well. The thing is, the external partners plus Ukraine don't train as many as 150,000 Ukrainian soldiers a year and that's the number of killed and wounded Ukraine loses every year.

Got to love it when the guy or AI they use to invent the imagery don't understand firearm design and function.
Do you mean the amount of recoil compared to the size of the drone?

Not every wounded soldier is lost forever, rather most recover relatively quickly. Plus there is the issue mentioned many pages ago where every transfer between medical facilities might be counted as a separate "WIA" when it's really only one person.

No, I'm referring to plucking a CGI image of an AR based rifle and altering it to suit regardless of the functionality. In this case they have removed what would be the buffer tube of the back of the rifle and the upper (required for functionality) and belt feeding into the ejection port of an upper that clearly has no belt feed mechanism. All belt fed AR systems require the feed to be from the left in to a purpose designed upper. Of the ideas out there of this concept they either employ mag or drum fed rifle based systems to remove weight and complexity or an actual belt fed MG as the weapon. Probably designed by a gamer.

At that point it has to just look cool. Concept cars are often far more futuristic looking than the production model too.

Quite possibly stock 3D models used for the to-be externally sourced parts instead of purpose made models to reduce cost of the concept art.

Germany has handed over a Skynex air defense system to Ukraine in its latest tranche of military aid to bolster the country’s air defence (the 2nd system handed over).

The platform is the latest of an $192 million deal in 2022 between Germany and Rheinmetall to equip Ukraine with the anti-missile capability.

The integrated tracking unit will be used to counter air targets from Russian forces, performing short-range searches, classification, and identification of threatening aircraft and missiles in Kyiv’s airspace.

I acknowledge its only concept art but even with concept cars there layout will generally be plausible i.e. where an engine, drive train and wheels layout should be able to work.
After looking at couple releases about the various the Felon UAS platforms the more it looks like fantasy designs made up by a talented digital artist that doesn't have a clue in a military setting past video games. An example is the X model with the Spike missile mounted below doesn't add up given a spike in its smallest configuration is 1.6m long and the X is apparently 651mm at its longest, not to mention Spike are tube carried and launched not as shown mounted clean with fins deployed. This is forgetting the fact the X model is 6.52lbs but apparently designed to carry a 21lbs missile. The same can be said for the 1.0 model that mounts an AR rifle. The release states it is an AR with a 16.25inch barrel, an AR with this barrel would be longer than the UAS itself.

It looks like a gamers dream true. But at least something is done in the new arms race.

My concept would rather be to make three sizes and the smallest just sporting a slimmed down mp7 type weapon.

Recoil may not be a problem as you can compensate that by the rotors.

The problem is indeed the feed and mechanical integration.

On larger drones you can use pods like the one from Dillon

Skynex can probably hit the glide bombs if the coming F16 let some Su34 slip through to drop them.

It's ABM feature should do the trick.

I watched some Gepard vids and came to the conclusion that it's guns or fire control are much more inaccurate then the new system.

Very modern systems in numbers can make a difference for Ukraine.

Russia cannot develop anything groundbreaking while being on a total war footing. With corresponding human losses.

Today is inauguration day for pootins next 6 years of war crimes. Also new they arrested a US Army idiot on some bull S**t charge and of course he had no business there so he will pay for it dearly. Who in their right mind would go into Russia for any reason knowing they are idiots out of control. They say this guy went in to see some woman, most likely a setup for sure.

No more leisurely shooting at suicide USVs, now it's about going in fast, spraying rounds and pulling out while popping flares.

Some fresh nonsense from the fourth world.

They've felt that about all neighbouring countries which is why all of these countries felt it necessary to apply for membership of NATO.

They just don't bother to ask these people. They think they are so much above, that they can dictate what these lowly people think. But where does this arrogance come from? They were always worse off than these lowly people they look down on.

(Russian empire, european literacy rates 1897, similar would be GDP per capita)
