Currently the tires signal of my car is orange and yet I have definitely fixed the possible issue by going to the gas station and put air into each of them. No idea what’s going on. Last time I had a screw stuck in it, occasionally there’s a “glitch” about those on the dashboard. Dunno if heat or something. No imminent danger I think, and not quite willing to spend another 150€ to replace two tires.

I had this repeatedly, then 2 weeks later, came back to a flat tyre.....

sorry.

I sold my ute four years later for 5% more than what I paid. Inflation plus people don't care about DPF issues? Got rid of it because my hunting access roads coverted into tracks got stopped maintenance and got washed away converted into unuseable tracks that the Solomon Islanders would be proud to walk.. A little shovel work at culverts would have saved them.

They must have banned the shovel sometime. Risk of back injury? We used to clear them after the public purse snapped shut on public access to public land. Also seems to be general lack of wisdom in the popluation as I wasn't the only user. They were happy to pull out a chainsaw to remove trees. I took out one with a 4 foot trunk with the saw made into rounds and winched off the track. But the culverts would fill up and they just drove passed?

So reckon next one will be a second hand Hyundai Tuscon petrol. Yep. Diesel no longer is cheaper here, no DPF, no wet belt and no Jap CVT transmission another euro instigated thing for better fuel efficiency/less emissions only it has like the dpf a good list of problems. The Petrol Tuscon has non of those created impediments and traction is good enough for NZ "metal" roads that reflect the lack of maintenance. Some mates and neighbours who are practical and mechanical drive them.

My favorite Auusie car expert on the CVT

David Tracy is a legend. This is part of a series of him building a new WWII era Jeep in the best worst way.

Here is another bit. Like many tragicomic shade tree mechanic legends, the saga continues.

Lazy or not, I can tell there’s more wealth on those handful of photos than in all my relatives bank accounts combined. Some very nice brand, and iconic cars there.

The main supercars in the country tend to be Porsches and Ferraris based on what I see on the roads, though Lambos and McClarens are beginning to show up more and more.

Just in time for the current fuel price increases I have just purchased two cars - a Nissan Leaf EV for the missus and a BMW530e PHEV for myself. The BMW should have about enough range on the battery to get me to work and back without needing to use petrol, but worst case it'll need to run the ICE engine for 2-5 km. The Nissan is second hand and almost 10 years old but still gets 145km on a charge which is more than sufffcient for the missus to get to work and back daily.

Pictures to follow once I receive them,
