It was an honest mistake, S**t happens.
Maybe force retirement, but prison sentence and all the drama surrounding it? Nah.
She yelled tazer tazer and grabbed the wrong ghetto snapper, and then cried "oh F*** oh F*** I accidentally shot him" afterwards, didn't try playing it off, she knew it was a mistake and that her career was over on scene. The videos and testimonies of all the witnesses made it pretty clear.
It just shows how terrible the legal system is, picks and chooses how to deliver sentencing.
10 people can commit the same crime and get 10 different sentences. The "best solution" would be to set up base sentencing on the crime and past history, not on prejudice or judgment of the person in question.
Kim Potter served for 26yrs with a clean record, F***ed up once and now she's a convicted felon serving prison.
