Politics All Things Trump

Can't believe that 49% of Americans want Trump impeached and removed while only 4% opposed. Fox poll., no kidding.
I’d have to look at the wording, sample size and other demographics. Very hard to believe, but again the reporting and investigation so far have been the usual atrociously partisan and distorted sh*t show.

Maybe even his supporters are getting sick of his S**t??

Just out of curiosity; should Trump be impeached, would Pence automatically become president, and would Trump be barred from holding public office afterwards? If not, the whole undertaking wouldn't amount to much, would it. What would stop him from running for president again, especially should he indeed have a majority of the populace behind him?

Some people voted Trump to prevent Clinton in 2016. It's not entirely inconceivable they could turn their back on him. And not everybody believes in that ominous "Deep State".

As for Fox, they actually do have a vested interest in not suppressing bad news for Trump. A poll such as this could have the effect of reminding MAGA country what's at stake and reinvigorate their efforts to see Trump reelected. It's probably a legitimate poll.

I hope that the House of Representatives impeaches Trump, because here is how things will unfold.

1. The House can pass articles of impeachment over the objections of the Republicans and refer to the Senate for trial.

2. The Senate will conduct a trial. There will be a vote, and the Republicans will vote unanimously, along with a small number of Democrats, to not convict the President. Legally, it will all be over at that point.

3. However, during the trial, and this is what no one is thinking about right now, the President's attorneys will have the right to subpoena and
question ANYONE THEY WANT! That is different than the special counsel investigation, which was very one-sided. So, during the impeachment trial, we will be hearing testimony from James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Donna Brazille, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Christopher Steele, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Clapper, and a whole host of other participants in this whole sordid affair and the ensuing coverup activities. A lot of dirt will be dug up; a lot of truth will be unveiled. Finger pointing will occur. Deals will start being made, and suddenly, a lot of democrats will start being charged and going to prison. All this, because, remember, the President's team will now, for the first time, have the RIGHT to question all of these people under oath – and they will turn on each other. That is already starting.

4. Lastly, one more thing will happen, the Senate will not convict the President. Nothing will happen to Trump. Most Americans are clueless about political processes, the law, and the Constitution. Most Americans believe that being impeached results in removal from office. They don't understand that phase 2 is a trial in and by the Senate, where he has zero chance of conviction. Remember, the Senate is controlled by Republicans; they will determine what testimony is allowed -- and *everything* will be allowed, including: DNC collusion with the Clinton campaign to fix the election in favor of Hillary, the creation of the Trump dossier, the cover up and destruction of emails that very likely included incriminating information. They will incriminate each other for lying to the FISA court, for spying and wiretapping the Trump campaign, and for colluding with foreign political actors. After the Senate declines to convict the President, there will be an election, and Trump will win. It will be a backlash against democrat petulance, temper tantrums, hypocrisy and dishonesty. Even minorities will vote for Trump, because, for the first time, they will see that democrats have spent 3+ years focused on maintaining their own power, and not doing anything at all about black murders in Chicago, homelessness, opioids, and other important issues that are actually killing people.

I would say that is not true. If anything, it's the opposite.
Just a little observational sidenote, and by no means do I question your statement: Trump used to be very popular in the world of mixed martial arts. He was a financier of the sport, UFC president Dana White is an ally of his, people wore MAGA hats to events, and stars like Colby Covington have styled themselves champions of MAGA country.

Now cut to Trump's entrance at UFC 244 over the weekend, where the crowd booed him mercilessly. It was so bad they had to hastily cut away from his visibly miffed reaction.

If I were a Trump campaign manager, I'd try to get him to stop responding to Democrat attacks for a while, so as to take the wind out of their sails.

There's something called oversaturation. It exists in marketing, where even popular brands that are advertised too aggressively see their sales drop, and it exists in politics, which people stop caring about when an annoying topic doesn't go away. I mean, just take a look at the UK, where news broadcasters by public demand created channel where Brexit isn't mentioned anymore.

There might come a day when people stop caring whether or not the accusations are true, they just want politics to focus on something else, and on that day it won't matter anymore who started this and what their motives were.

I don't know muck, did you see the video? It's really hard to tell if it's cheering or jeering or both.

I watched the whole pay-per-view; they were booing. And he wasn't happy about it. Neither was Dana White, who came out today criticising the audience, saying they should've been grateful for the president's attendance.

Please bear in mind all I'm trying to point out is this: There are people who voted Trump merely to stymy Clinton. The size of said group is debatable, but given the number of counties that switched colours between 2012 and 2016 (often with a considerable margin), I'd say these are the people who the Democrats try to influence.

Which isn't a bad strategy, it has to be said. These are people who never read either side's manifesto. If I were Trump, I wouldn't count on somebody's vote that voted Obama in 2012. They're obviously not beholden to ideology, and they'll be swayed by emotions.

trump didn't go to asean summit!but next year he invited asean come to summit in usa?

What are we supposed to be sick of? A bunch of Democrats trying to overturn the election? Yes.
The constant circus that seems to surround this President, doesnt matter if he is the cause of it or the victim of it, people will just get tired of seeing and hearing it.

Yes, until they look at the alternatives, Biden/Warren/Sanders, etc. That will sober anyone up!

The “circus” is strictly on the Democrat side. I think the IG, Barr and Durham reports will highlight just what a circus it is. 3 years of fabricated lies about Trump as a Russian agent? Please. I saw nothing and have heard nothing about Ukraine except what Adam Schiff is doing to concern me. A chance for the Republicans to ask questions and call witnesses in a public setting will be nice, this secrecy and selective leaking is rather mysterious and unprecedented. Trump is doing exactly what he promised to do, exactly what he was elected to do and doing it well.

It will be an interesting matchup, whoever it is. There will be no level playing field, I heard Sanders and Omar repeating the same lies about Trump at a student rally in Minnesota. And the vigorous media ‘fact checkers’ are silent. SOP. The Democrats ability to attract voters will be sorely tested. Their urban strongholds are rapidly turning into shitholes, their policies increasingly fringe leftist.

The fact that Dems are still talking about other people entering the race, like Clinton or Bloomberg is telling. I'm also interested in the African-American vote. Some previous polls had Trump at over 20% in that community. The fact of the matter is, Dems cannot win a national election without over 90% of the African-American vote.

Just a reminder; the Washington Post ran a story 19 minutes after Trump was inaugurated announcing the start if an impeachment drive.
