Donald Trump on Saturday said he had no interest in returning to Twitter even as a slim majority voted in favor of reinstating the former U.S. President, who was banned from the social media service for inciting violence, in a poll organized by new owner Elon Musk.

But Trump made it clear from day one he would not come back on twitter. And though his account has been reactivated, I think it is indeed more profitable for him to not come back to twitter, because that helps him make a point, to some extent.

Of course, not going back to twitter, despite his sky-rocketting number of followers, will have a negative impact on his reach in term of communication. But since the still lives rent-free in the head of so many, it is not as if he actually needed a platform or anything. He has been out of office for two years but never-Trumpers still talk about him as if he was still in the White House.
