Politics BLM protests across the US

some other points to consider.... if law enforcement were doing the job they were supposed to be doing, none of this would have happened. why they were not, I do not know in this case, but in other cases they were prevented due to orders to stand down from democratic politicians and their appointees.
this has been going on for months now. what would you do if all of a sudden something happened in your town and you knew the "peaceful protesters" were going to be converging on your area? apparently this young man did not just show up, there was a familial relationship to the property he was protecting. he wasnt out looking for a fight.
ok, so I didnt know he was related to the site, just thought he was trying to do good in general. Again that adds another flavour to the mix. Like I said earlier, how come one minute no cops, then someone gets shot and you have cops, appreciate they cant be everywhere.

Sounds like you need to read the old riot act and fix bayonets.

UK had riots, when the police killed a black guy, he had tossed his weapon (in a sock) over a fence, but was a known gangman.

Police took a hands off for a couple of days, until someone put a rocket under them. then the army was offered, and it all calmed down.

I dont see the difficulty - over here it would be - curfew - police with military support - a promise to investigate the grievance - and advice to parents to keep your damn kids in. US seriously looks loony at the moment. I know the election is part of it, but for people(even stupid people) to die 'for' an election is again stupid.

Tucker nails it again!

“So what does that amount to? We’re unsure, a court will decide whether what you just saw qualifies as self-defense. We don’t have more details. We do know why it all happened, though. Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it.”

“People in charge from the governor of Wisconsin on down refused to enforce the law. They stood back and watched Kenosha burn. So are we really surprised this looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would? Everyone can see what was happening in Kenosha. It was getting crazier by the hour… ‘Kill the police, death to America.’ That’s not Iran, it’s Wisconsin. It could have been a dozen other places in the country. The violence has been building unabated for three months now. Every day the mob becomes more radical.”

“Our leaders want us to believe this is all a racial conflict, they’re always telling us it is. But they’re lying. It is not a racial conflict. At its deepest level the chaos they have unleashed has very little to do with race. Most Americans are not bigots. Unlike CNN, they’re not fixated on skin color, they don’t really care, most of them. What you watch is more sinister than that. What you are watching is an effort by the academic, left funded by big business, to crush the last remaining resistance to their control of the country and that resistance is an independent American middle class. That’s who they really hate. This is not a race war. This is a class war.”

Right. A 17 year old kid defending the family business doing the job the cops should have been doing. But because the Governor (Democrat) refused Trump’s offer of additional needed National Guard, the criminals set the agenda. It’s mind boggling.

Funny thing regarding the dude who got shot in the arm... he "technically" violated the Geneva Convention twice!

-by performing a "false surrender".
-by being openly hostile and armed while pretending to be a paramedic.

Incidentally, all those shot happen to also have an extensive criminal past.
D. Rosenbaum (shot in the head guy) was charged with criminal misconduct with a minor.
Gaige Paul Grosskreutz (shot in the arm guy) was convicted with burglary and was forbidden to own a weapon.
Anthony W. Huber (the discount Tony Hawk skateboard Hero) was convicted with sequestration with a deadly weapon, domestic abuse (6 counts), assault, etc...

3 counts of first degree with all the video proof. A case of pure political injustice.
How does it work, where will the trial be? I'm not american, but I'd doubt he would be convicted by any american jury? The local politics can get him into court I guess, but someone NRA etc is going to spring for a good lawyer? I'm genuinely intrigued by the' legal' attempt to untangle people with legal guns/riots/guy with pistol/assault with skateboard etc etc....

I dont know whether the kid was stupid or brave, or gung-ho or brilliant.....

Has anyone done a 'defense analysis' for the 17YO? The earliest video I have seen is him being chased by someone allegedly with a petrol bomb? how did that incident start?

But my overarching points are
1 - bad idea to riot in a country full of guns = your going to get shot
2 - bad idea to go out to control a riot = your going to get shot/stabbed/beaten - thats what a riot is.
3 - if ignoring rule 2, good idea to be armed when going out to control a riot(as a civilian) - guns are legal, and my property is at risk. but be prepared to shoot people, as they may try to take your gun.

I dont think anyone believes the geneva convention is going to be discussed in court, but clearly some words and deads passed between 2 people.

Castle Doctrine[edit]
On December 7, 2011, Governor Scott Walker signed a bill passing a Castle Doctrine for Wisconsin. The bill provides criminal immunity (WI statute 939.48(1m)[13]) and protection from civil suits (WI statute 895.62 [14]) for homeowners or business owners who use a gun in self-defense while on their property, with the presumption that any action is justified. The law is a "stand your ground" law, which does not contain a duty to retreat. This applies at the user's private vehicle, business, and at their home. Protection extends to improvements only (driveway, sidewalk, patio, fence, garage, house...), not bare ground. Also, the criminal must have forcibly entered, or be in the process of attempting to forcibly enter, and the defender must be present in the home, car, or business. The Washington County DA ruled that opening a door counts as forcible entry.[15]

Scared sh*tless would be my guess.....Shot in the arm guy is a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, any charges there? The wasp spray in his backpack is used as pepper spray substitute with much greater range.

Police in these cities have stood bye and let it burn as directed by their politicians. Of course they would charge him with first degree as directed.

Three different guys assaulted him with potentially deadly weapons. I'd love to be on that jury. Too bad the wasp-spray / handgun thug is among the living.

The lefties in my FB friends list are "appalled" by the young man who shot the three rioters.. None of them ever said anything with any comfort or sympathy when those same rioters have been exposed on video, with visual evidence of them beating up plain old citizens....

I just saw a vid of the POS sex offender which got its brains shot out of his skull, literally saying "Shoot me, ******!!" to a black guy that was part of Kyle´s group.
Guess what wish granted.
On the other hand not very BLMish conduct ? ?

Any boomers on here? asking because I wonder how this level of chaos and violence compares to the vietnam/civil rights era. though back then it seems like it was split between "the system" and the general population, now, its actually one part of the population against the other, with some parts of "the system" on one side, and another part of "the system" on the other.

Democrats were different back then. They didn't hate America. They weren't Marxists. Mayors didn't allow this BS to go on. They supported the police and sent them in to crack skulls and arrest people. They called in the NG if needed and accepted Federal help. The riots were broken up quickly.

This is scary. Just scary. It only goes to show how susceptible to totalitarian thinking these "activists" have become. Banning speech is problematic enough. But compelling speech is a line that must never be crossed.
