Working on the assumption its a cover for the vertical fan topside, I have only found this picture.

This is such a dumb design, the cover should have 2 'arms' coming down the sides, so its visible from the ground, you know where the groundcrew are......

I think he had, he was trying to stay onboard, but couldn’t quite do it, he ejects just as the nose wheel goes over the edge.
