I had to look up the conversion rate - 7 quid = 9.8USD. For a pint of beer? Sounds like airport pricing.

Overall an intense and interesting second half, where even the Mannshaft had a bit of a momentum.

One of the best players ever to come out of Europe for sure , certainly in my lifetime . Can't think of a better European player who's played over the last 30/40 years . Van Basten maybe but injury curtailed his career .

In all fairness, the French representative of Greenpeace formally apologized for this idiot action and the people that were injured in the stadium.

Otherwise and back to football, those Italians are also good, seems like most major national teams have started off well, and trying to find or bet on a final winner will be a really tough one.

I tuned in for the match Belgium vs Russia, I saw the Belgians kneel BLM-style and immediately switched off. I usually watch the big championships even though I'm not that big on team sports, but if they all insist on political posturing and virtue signalling they can do without me.

Not that they need me, just deciding what best to do with my time. I can follow the results on the internet.

It’s a major bummer that most every championship has to become political to some degree. As I said in the Woke thread though, at least the French team has decided that taking a knee was worthless mostly so they didn’t before the game against the Mannshaft.

I’m just sitting on my couch in the evening to enjoy nice games, at least the commentators quickly move on when a few of these squads decide to knee.
