You keep blaping about Russia, though nobody did. It has become the de-facto excuse for any failure of the left and/or progressives.
Anything has turned into a Russia-Nazi thing now. "Nazi" is thrown around so much it has lost its meaning, it became a trivial word that ripped away the severity of what it means and threw to the garbage the horrors committed in its name for the sake of winning a kneejerk argument on the internet.
And since we are talking about that... let's not forget how the EU wholeheartedly embraced AZOV, Banderists, ultra-nationalist-Ukrainians and all of these unsavory groups. So what? There are good nazis and bad nazis now? Let's not be hypocritical there, shall we? Or perhaps stop using a word that carries so much weight for silly reasons...
But since you seem fixated on Russia as the source of all your problems, most of the current issues haven't been caused by Russia. They were just bystanders who looked at things from the bench and let them happen. The vast majority of the issues plaguing Europe, from social, societal, financial, the market, foreign policies, loss of confidence at home and abroad, etc... are not Russia's fault. They are self-inflicted wounds, you did it to yourself.
Sure, Russia didn't help, but none of Europe so-called allies either.
The US were very fine with the EU coming down crashing, the UK is euphoric at the sight, even more so since BREXIT, China is looking at us with a mix of contempt and admiration since COVID ("oh man, didn't think they would go that far with their sanitary measures").
Wounds that got a lot of push-back before they were inflicted, and when they were being inflicted. Don't do it! It isn't going to work! It will have catastrophic effects! etc...
But nah... you did it anyway. And now your chickens have come to roost. Nobody forced the EU to adopt its policies, but the EU. Unless you are suggesting, since that's your go-to, Russia was behind everything currently befalling us.
All that is on the progressive and their failed dream.
That has got to be the lamest and most cowardly excuse to avoid accountability.
Sure, Russia is interested in Europe failing. Guess what, everybody is. The US, China, Africa, the Middle-East.
It seems like there is a tremendous lack of self-awareness from the EU, its leaders and most fervent defenders.
edit: oh, and while we are at it, pretty amusing what is happening to Merz at the moment.
That and the fact several members of his cabinet were born in Russia. *ooOOooooOOOoh! the boogeyman! watch out!*
Maybe Merz is a Russian asset, and Germany a Kremlin sock-puppet! I mean... that's the logic of things, isn't it?
