I found the meeting with the Chicoms in Alaska interesting last week. Interesting in the way the Chinese were so rude, combative and derogatory of the United States. Biden's representatives seemed stunned and without a response. Like deer in headlights.

I figured the Chicoms would be all smiles and nice, knowing they will get whatever they want from compromised Biden. Instead they went on a tirade and still know they will get everything they want.

I'm wondering about the purpose though. Is it for China's internal consumption, to show Xi is in charge? Is it because Biden and his cabinet are so weak and compromised that the Chinese don't even think it worth the effort to be polite?

Probably a combo of both.

They are asserting their dominance, simple.

Going the "all smiles and nice" way implies back-stabbing and deceiving moves.

Here China made its own position clear and Biden's America's position clear as well: You (USA) will listen to us (China).

Also, has anyone noticed that since the Colorado shooter has been ID'd with an Arab name, is a refugee from Syria, is vehemently anti-Trump and is an ISIS sympathizer, that he has literally disappeared from the news cycle.

Look at the state of the Capitol overran with troops and the US yellow press a thing for the Chinese to aspire to, it's only logically when the US asks for the press to be removed from the meeting that the chicom response is that removing them is undemocratic. It's just a litmus test for how far US has fallen, and is in free fall with Joe, pardon the pun.
The talk of drone strikes against Trump supporters on national TV, of jailing them... sure the Uighurs will be organising collections for the beleaguered Trump supporters at this rate.
US awash with violent extremists all celebrated by politicians... and "political prisoner" Epstein died in custody... hopefully he wasn't Bill Browders lawyer or something.

Literally no one wants this for US... well maybe Iran and China, but it is what it is. I'm sure we in EU will follow the same self destructive path US has, not sure the end result.

America is about hope. If the Communist frauds who have temporarily seized power don't destroy the Republic, first. They know they only have a narrow window and are jamming trillions, (with T) of dollars down the taxpayer's throats, in order to finance their radical plans for the next decade.

Well over here, we are signing legally binding agreements about Carbon while talking about increasing our population in the same timeframe ~20% , of which 50% to be foreign born. The refugees are now to get to the head of the Q, for social hosing. People waiting years for houses here will be simply bypassed for (likely) some economic migrant to sit on their couch while we feed and clothe them for eternity.
USA has also declared war on taxpayers, I see everyone is a citizen deserving free stuff. Governments are taking our tax and using it against us.
Amazing time to be alive. Just think back to people dying for freedom in WW2 and how cheaply we view that freedom, wrought from their blood.
I'm not advocating anything, but I think we are heading back to that cycle of patriots dying for freedom gain.
Real freedom, not the freedom to have slavery markets that we fought for in Libya, or ISIS freedom to oppress others that we supported in Syria.
