Other Post Reason Arms Industry Vietnam Not Development

VietNam can not manufacturing from howitzer to APC, IFV, tank, multi rocket system, helicopter attack. So, need find exactly reason!

Solutions suggest: Buy all quantity weapon old gen from Russia (MI-24, BM-27...) Help decrease cost maintenance and Liquidation old weapon for Russia. Russia has money development and buy new weapons gen.

But, Russia must transfer all technology manufacturing weapons from a to z for Vietnam (win-win situation).

VietNam can increase quantity weapons with cheap cost (BM-21, Taraltul class, BMP-2...), but VietNam has technology manufacturing weapons.

There are a lot of reason why it is hard for Vietnam to develop its own defense industry. Most weapons are very specific ergo high development cost and low production rate giving it at a higher cost. What you would come up with would be third rate on what is already out there. For one industry to be successful it should focus on a larger market.

Develop your R&D and manufacturing on other products first and have the defense industry just as an offshoot.

Need supports of Machine Industrial Groups (Example: LiGnex1, Hanwha Techwin, Hanwha Thales, Samsung Techwin, Hyundai Rotem, KAI, STX, Doosan DST, S&T Dynamics, S&T motiv, Poongsan, Cox Camera, KIA Motor, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering...)

Vietnam has some big group (Viettel, Vinfast...) can help development Arms Industry of country. Vietnam is alliance of South Korea. In the future, VietNam can manufacturing from a to z tank, IFV, APC, howitzer, helicopter, battleship.
