Yes, it is the only 185 I know of. I've got one box of it and the rest of the hunting loads I have are Hornady Outfitter in 180gr.
They've got more 185 types than I have fingers in one hand, Juggernaut being one of them and Hybrid being another that I both use. But since it's for hunting VLD is what most use for that purpose alone.

Control F 185 as the search, bam a bunch of results.

No problem and my pleasure. I don't hunt but the wife and kiddo do, but I do all of their upkeep and load developments for them with their .243 Tikka T3's and recently added 6mm ARC AR15's.

I use the two 185's mentioned in .308 for my Accuracy International AW.

Limited time at the range this morning. Only had time to site in the .30-06 at 25yds. Shot three 3 shot groups under 3/4" at that range, mostly because I am not a great rifle shot. Dialed the zero right in on those and them went to meet my son and his girlfriend over on one of the action ranges where we worked pistol drills from the holster and began teaching his girlfriend to shoot both pistol and carbine length ARs.

Decided I'm buying my son's P365 from him too.

Yes.

Xmacro is where it's at for the 365 series. Easiest of them all to shoot and still very concealable and that's what we all want along with that capacity.

Not the XMacro, 3.1" barrel original P365, two 17 rounders and 2 12s. Going to replace the slide with an OR ready one. Still deciding on SIG Romeo-X Compact or Meprolight Pro. Both are low enough to co-witness with standard height sites.

I've got the Romeo X Compact. The Meprolight looks like Holosun is making it for them, unknown to me if it's enclosed or not though as I don't follow or nor even like Holosun either.

But I do know about the Romeo X Compact. Not enclosed although they just came out with the enclosed version and to the unaware, enclosed is the best option. From personal experience that open are seems to attract more lint and other stuff than what I used to carry, an open emitting Shield RMSc on my G43X MOS. Other than that it's a solid red dot.

I've had the Sig Romeo X Compact since they first released it. I've kept it on a higher setting than low or middle because I am constantly going from inside to outside. No battery issue, still on the one that came with and it's always been on. Very easy to use.

Meprolight Pro is enclosed, but I also just noticed that it needs an adapter plate to the RMS-c footprint, that defeats the non suppressor height sights, so SIG it will be.

I do like the smaller size of this one. At the range on the action pit we had a couple targets set side my side about 6 feet apart, at 5 yards all hits were in the X ring and the T box with the stock sights, transition times were on par with my P320 Full. I prefer tritium (which my 320 has), but the factory are sufficient for the time being.

I may get a larger grip and the longer slide/barrel eventually. Lego for adults.

You own a 320 too? I got the 1811 grip module for it, the polymer one. Add the ugly looking mag funnel that they make for it too, and man your hands are both fully locked in while doing the 60/40 grip*. Once again the old adage that function over form is so true.

*For those not in the know and reading this conversation, the 60/40 and sometimes even the 70/30 is the proper way to use the modern isosceles. It also prevents trigger finger freeze.

I tried the 365 Xmacro Tacops at a local FFL, I ordered the mag funnel that it uses as well and am giving the thought of also trying the new Radian mag funnel for it along with.

FWIW I am a die hard Glock guy and as much as it pains me to say this, but when the 365 Xmacro came out they really did make an actual Glock killer.

320 is my Lego set; SC, Compact w/&w/o safety (time consuming to add or remove it), and Full w&w/o as well. 3 slides, Tritium on all, all in basic black.

60/40 myself, but I try to not lock myself into the "perfect stance" as I train from the knee and non dominant hand single as well. I'm not a competitive shooter so enhanced magwells and the like are just added weight and a higher chance of printing.

The 365 will be the first I run a dot on, which is why I'm looking for the lowest profile one.

Funny thing, my son is selling this to me because he went Glock 45MOS for his newest carry. I'm a Sig and S&W guy myself, I haven't tried his Glock yet, but others I have tried just didn't work with the grip angle for me. They shot well, just not as comfortable as I'd like.

If it's one thing that I know about both Sig and Glocks guys, is that they go all in with their preferred brand. One of my friend's bought a G49 MOS, bought a G47 frame, and the B&T Glock 17 SBR chassis to Form 1 the G47 with.

That's just too much gun nut autism for me really. However I can see the value what you and my friend have done though but not for me.

My G45 MOS is my go to. However I have wanted a reason to give my 320C a purpose in life. I do love gun golf. But I like the tactical training and tactical matches side even more.

The mag funnel for this 365 is very minimal however I carry appendix so it's not going to be an issue for me with printing as I don't wear skin tight muscle shirts either plus my wife wants me in collared shirts so that takes care of that. But I do understand where you are coming from.

Right now I am going to enjoy a few things because I have found out that muscle memory is a thing and my hands know what's in its hands and nothing changes. Some people actually have a real issue with using different guns, some because they run mouths and not guns and some because that's just how they are and no explanation why but I do understand.

That article on the Son Tay Raiders with the occluded red dot, perfect healthy eyes with zero issues at all with every one of them but a small portion could not do it and had POI from POA shifts depending on which shoulder they were using with what was supposed to be binocular vision. It gives a perfect understanding of why a select very few have trouble shooting anything else but one or two handguns. My theory here at least, no two humans are alike despite so many similarities.

Anyway, good talk. It's refreshing to have a gentleman conversation about this subject without fools taking sides and acting obtuse about it. Thank you, it gives me hope for the 2A community.

You too my friend. Always refreshing to not get sucked into a Ford vs. Chevy rabbit hole. LOL As the late Jim Scoutten used to say, "keep 'em in the X ring".

I do like the look of those SIGs (and this is purely based on looks, the only pistol I've ever fired was some kind of CZ).

CZ does make some rather nice things. I'm just not a fan of DA/SA guns in general and their striker foray left a lot to be desired as to how they handled the floating striker pin issue on the early models by dremeling the backplate.

I was looking at a Taurus TX-22 compact and a cheap open emitter as my training item to learn red dot.

It will be a Micro 9 and an enclosed optic after I can do the basics. No idea which.

Also, I like Tulster holsters. Currently running Tulster Contour on a G19 EDC. But I am getting older, and the G19 weighs more than it used to. Also for whatever reason the sights aren't as crisp as when I bought it in 1994.

Very cool LC. I love the look. The magwell funnel isn't as big as I thought it would be.

Finished the online portion of the NH Hunter Safety course, the practical final (live fire, shoot/no shoot scenarios, etc.) I was able to book is at Sig Academy in Exeter. Needless to say I'll be spending a bit of cash in the store there, optic cut slide and optic. If they have the stainless one I'll grab it, if not, then black it is.

Geissele SSP flat trigger arrived today, will install it tonight or tomorrow.

If you're a Glock guy go with the 43X MOS or better yet the G48 MOS. However stick with factory tens but if that isn't enough for you well PSA makes a jam proof 15 round that unlike Shield 15's, don't jam every other round.

However if you are open to other guns, the 365 XMacro is hard to say no to.

Just remember that going into this, the smaller the micro the harder it is to use even for grandmasters, A, and especially for B and C class shooters.

As for red dots, dryfiring is going to do for you more than a 22 LR will. It's your reworked presentation and follow through that gets newbs to red dots. have it holstered, grip, rotate, and when you present don't punch out as fast as you would with the olden ways with just irons.

And still somehow gets your hand to lock in, I'm now a fan and it's staying there.

Geissele makes really great triggers and free floats. The rest of their product line, lol not so much. Bill thought he could beat his enemy Mark Larue but lacks the precision mastery skill that Mark has for engineering.

I have shot friends Micro 9s. Really nothing is off the table. It is just that I can see the writing on the wall, if I have my glasses.

I dry fire and dry draw every day. So rest assured I will get some instructor time to set the new foundation. Then drill until I hit oil.
