Politics Protests in Belarus

News from Belarussian telegram front.

NEXTA calls for creating local self-defence units of 10-15 people coordinated by closed telegram chats. Self-defence units should command communal services, protect flags and banners from police forces and cover people during the protests. Also make some revenge operations and whatever they need for the revolution. Molotov cocktails all over local chats.

Protests organisers in Warsaw have become impatient and decided to move to martyrdom stage.

Belarusian opposition warned against creating self-defense squads
Member of the Presidium of the Opposition Coordination Council Maxim Znak urged to act exclusively within the framework of national legislation.

Good response to NEXTA provocation.

Riot police, i.e. OMON against women. I don't know where the men are.
Women make a great power against OMON because of our laws and overall police and court practice of our sexist regime. OMON usually avoids violence against women, women with kids (married or not) cannot be detained for riots/protests and many other law violations.

Max is one of our best lawyers he's honest and decent man. He's the only person from the Coordination Council who has the balls to stand against both the government pressure and NEXTA bullsh*t tactics. But unfortunately he's no politician and our opposition and semi-neutral media doesn't give him much of attention.

Do you have any idea how is this going to end? This looks like a stalemate that benefits Lukashenko, and apparently Surkov is back in Kremlin graces with a task to put an end to all of this and de facto absorb Belarus.

I saw him in a feature on German TV together with Kolesnikova. Now it seems he was also arrested today. By masked men...

Maxim Snak arrested by masked men (in German) T-Online is not the nicest source but I read it there so:

It's difficult to see when you're inside the situation. Full integration into Russia won't be easy anyway if even possible and Lukashenko contributed much to our "sovereignty wet dreams".

Poland, you're drunk:

We already have Nobel Prize Laureate, can we now have an Oscar or 1st place in Eurovision contest?

Full integration of Belarus it is not what Russia want. Not Russian authorities (Belarus needs reforms and investments, life level is lower then in Russia so such reforms will be massive burden for budget), not russian population (only %50 want reunification with Belarus, other said good relationship and current Belarus - Russia Union is enough). Also while Belorussians are more or less pro-Russian, significant part of population did not support full integration. It is not the Crimea case with 2 mln people to integrate and 85% of population approval.

Russian target as i can see it is more economical integration - russian rouble as common currency, privatization of Belorussian state companies in favor of Russian owners, etc.

The same guy was also abducted by Lukashenko's thugs soon after this naive statement. The deranged pseudo-president is kicking in all directions, no wonder he found himself besieged and desperately need to be rescued by Russian intervention.
Good call from NEXTA anyway. This situation totally changed my mind on the debate should or should not the common people have the right to bear arms.

Btw, before someone pull out the Nazi card again, here is Lukashenko himself praising Hitler:

We believe quite the opposite btw.

No common currency and we want more investments. We'll offer your oligarhs 5 unprofitable state companies and you can keep your 2 "military bases" free of charge and develop one more military base in Brest or Horodnia with personnel limited to 20. And 0.5 liter of novichok.
I'm on bargaining stage right now.

Just watched Soloviev VS Latushko (our Coordinating Council member deserted to Poland) + you can clearly hear someone prompt Latushko on the other side of his cellphone camera. Well, I take my words back Latushko is arrogant, ignorant and unprofessional. Dear polish instructors, what made you think that he had any tiny chance against Soloviev? Why did you took this decision to throw him under this bus, don't you know your enemy? Your bots in comment section do not help it's a PR disaster.
