Politics Israel and Turkey hail new era in relations

Israeli president visited Turkey. It seems Erdogan givin up hes Muslim Brotherhood policies. Turkey start to turn back into secular system & national interests. But unfortunately that would not save Erdogan he will lose next election. There may be developments in the Turkish & Israeli defense industry and new (or reestablishment) alliance in the region.

It's nice to see Turkish and Israeli relations are back on the track again. Only 2 civilized and stable countries in the region should cooperate more.

how does the average "man on the street" in Turkey perceive Israel?

Secular one's love and respect Israel, religious one's wants that Jerusalem become like Vatican and don't like abusing of Palestinians. Nationalists support IDF cuz they hate Palestinian liberation movement cuz they Trained PKK in bekaa valley. Communist & religious Kurds support Palestine chauvinist Kurds Israel. Mostly neutral in general, Israel killed 9 Turkish ship crew that carrying humanitarian help to Gaza in 2009 destroyed respect towards Israel. But slightly when Turks learned how they lost this lands to Arabs and since Arab spring ( refugee crisis ) muslim Brotherhood lovers demolished. Few still left. No one cares Palestine nowadays
