Politics All Things Trump

You guys would truly be the ones standing on the side cheering on Nazi rallies. None of the actions in LA needed the National Guard or the deployment of Marines. I would say ICE is the Gestapo, but the Gestapo actually had the brain power to ask for papers.... this is why the people started protesting, too much incident of grabbing the wrong people rather than an actual investigation.

The INS did raids before, but they seldom did actual raids on schools or local communities. Yet they did their job.
Jim, this is over the top rhetoric, even coming from you.

I'll tone it down, but some posters here do salivate at sending the armed forces in your neighborhoods and against your fellow citizens over something as trivial as what is happening in LA... that's just not the US I grew up in. Kinda weird to say for a former immigrant there, lol.

Once, you get the military involved in domestic matter and they find that their mere presence have power, it will be hard to pry that away from them.

On a side note . . . if I was a betting man, I’d put down $100 that Trump is going to green light an attack on Iran in the next 48 hours.
Something is definitely going on. Bases in the region are on high alert and Embassies and other facilities are evacuating civilians and family.

Iran is already threatening to hit Israeli nuclear facilities if theirs are attacked.

What Trump is doing is strong arming the public so future resistance will be futile and in a way, either by intention or by product, getting the rest of citizenry used to the idea of the Armed Forces being deployed in neighborhoods.

Sending the Marines and the Viper flying around is a show of force on a citizenry.
I don't think he's so much trying to strong arm the public as he is simply appealing to his base. Sending the military into a crisis (whatever the scale of that crisis may be) is the ultimate way of showing strength. Trump has long relied on the military to prop up his image, more so than any other president in recent memory. In the case of LA, it may not be the most prudent choice, but it reassures his base that he's strong and taking any measure possible to deal with the crisis. Sticking it to the democrats/opposition in the process is just a convenient bi product for him. My two cents.

Also, when did Vipers fly over the protestors? Proof? Not calling you a liar, just looking for verifiable evidence. It has never been uncommon to see USMC helicopters (including Vipers) flying over LA due to the proximity to Camp Pendleton.

Considering what other countries, Mexico for example, do to foreigners (illegally present or not) who stir up the political and civil pot; the blue state USA (unwisely, in my opinion) practices almost royal treatment of said same.

My plan would be immediate deportation for all apprehended illegals and legal aliens who are rioting, looting, stealing during these times. The ones who are held for felonies can go to detention centers and then vetted for deportation or held for trial. In the meantime, they can pick the crops and milk the cows and do the hard work that the Dems say they need them here for.

Kinda Trump related.

I have already decided that, if a group of masked strangers come running at me in my car while I'm out proceeding legally on my way, throwing things at my car or making threatening gestures, that I will not be stopping or endangering myself to avoid them.
This covers both peaceful rioting situations and friendly urban carjacking celebrations.....

By the way, the protestors in the most recent peaceful event in LA, along with many other peaceful BLM/ANTIFA/HamasNazi or generic TDS parties have a common tactic of wearing masks to prevent identification. There are also reports of them using vehicles that carry/show no license plates when doing their stuff (Portland's peaceful anti-Fed building fires and lootings a few years back) out and about.

My additional tactic and suggestion to others is to take identifying markings/license plates/logos showing certain affiliations OFF of your vehicles and personal clothing if the schmidt starts to go down in your particular home town...

What, you say? An unlicensed car? Well, I don't know about the part of the USA that some of you live in, but it no longer seems to be big deal to drive around here where I live with temporary or no identification (on newly purchased/transferred.. supposedly) cars for months on end. Supposedly the license agency is chronically behind schedule and overloaded, but I also think there are more and more people who treat licensing like they treat car insurance.... optional...... something they dont' want to have to pay for.
