Those advertisements behind the stands during yesterday's parade might have been the most cringe-worthy thing Trump has done so far. I'm stunned by the silence of MAGA. "Drain the swamp", remember? Meanwhile, Trump monetises his presidency like no one before him. "Corporate States of America" used to be a slander by Occupy Wall Street. Trump gives it meaning.

America having a lackluster parade for a President's whim gives me hope...keep the parades for actual victory days or tinpot dictators. The Army didnt want to be there and it showed.

It was a good parade by a democratic country: not a huge show of force and not everyone was cut from the same cloth/ in perfect sync. Unlike in dictatorships like China, where they reherse these for months and months.

Though i did find strange seeing UFC, cryptocoin etc. ads in the middle of an army parade, but.
People would complain the same if was a huge show of force in the manner of Russia or China etc.
Apparently the organisational aspects wasn't that good and caused long queues in one street but totally empty queues in a another. But thats isnt on trump.

Exactly! Whatever it would have been, all the haters would have hated. To me it looked like happy sons and daughters of America, smiling and waving to a loving crowd. Nice!
Of course it wasn't the goose stepping China style parade, where hand picked individuals train for months or years to march in formation....and I'm glad for that.

US army hits their annual recruitment target in 1/2 year compared to the Biden misses and it's annual advertising budget is over 1 billion compared to the parade's 45 million.
The political campaigns spent more; 2.5 billion for Kamala whom lost horribly. These no more King voters whom like the idea of Obama or Clinton dynasties protest about a very well returning $45 mill.
