It appears that Israel was ready to strike Iran's nuclear facilities in May. They needed the green light and assistance from the US. Trump told Bibi to hold off and give negotiations a chance. There is a faction within the Pentagon which supported the attack which was cancelled, and apparently started leaking info to the NYT.

Hard to tell what is true, because others say that the people removed where closest to Trump's policy line and that the Pentagon is trying to limit POTUS' influence.
With generals previously informing China that theory isn't a big stretch imo.

The DJ and other US markets have delivered an average of 10% per year since the beginning. This through depressions, recessions, wars, pandemics, turmoil, etc. Historically, the biggest gains are after the market "hits bottom" and is on it's way up. Those who are patient are always rewarded. This is why US markets are always considered safe havens and have trillions of foreign investment
I know some pretty smart and well-to-do people. During the pandemic when the Dow Jones dipped below 20,000, some of them cashed in everything and put it in CDs or whatever to "protect" it. I don't want to give anyone advice, but I felt that was the stupidest thing I had ever heard. You are locking in your losses and when you jump back into the market after the rally is long over, you are buying at a much higher price than you sold.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
At some point, the Dow will bottom out and those who aren't there when it rallies will miss the train.
