Since u not only asked H2.0 about that "fixation" on america but others in the past here. What is your problem with others showing interest or even concern in other countries? After all u (and a few others) also share many links about Europe which can be called biased at best. I noticed it's not rare then that you admit a lack of knowledge about things metioned in those articles which is not a bad thing by itself but sometimes also do not care for explanations by Euro-Users if they do not fit what seems to be your liking.
Don't get me wrong, i don't want to be super rude, i am just curious why this shouldn't be two-way!?
Fair question.
Since I don't have H2O on ignore, I am bombarded by his daily and vehemently anti-Trump posts. It's been going on for years and years. I sometimes find them amusing, because it's obvious he doesn't understand what he's posting and just copies and pastes things he/she interprets as negatives, even if they are positives. Again, fine with me. Like I said, I'm one of the folks who hasn't put him on ignore.
But for the first time, I see a different message, one that he is unhappy with his own leadership, not just mine. They certainly can't do anything about my leadership - but in theory he/she could funnel energy to make a change in their own they'd be happy with. I don't think there is anything wrong with being curious about that. Why would you think that's problem, since most of us here interact every day?
As far as Europe goes, I try to keep up, but may not be as well versed on specific players as I am about the US. If I don't know, I'll ask, and I usually get thoughtful answers. I care about what happens in America obviously, but I also care about what happens in Europe. That's because up until I was born, anyone related to me has been European since the beginning of time. My wife is also a first generation American with European roots. As it happens, both of our fathers' took the same ship here, at different times and from different countries. Most of my relatives still live there. And I'm not talking distant relatives, I'm talking first cousins, aunts, uncles, in the hundreds if I include second cousins, etc. They are people who I speak to and see and who are important to me.
Bottom line is, I don't want to see Europe, it's culture and history erased. But sadly, I see Europe is headed in that direction at warp speed, unless there is an immediate a course correction. When I see Free Speech stifled and people getting arrested for praying, FB posts and words the "elites" don't agree with, it makes me feel there is no reversing course.
So, to answer your question, it is definitely two-way.
