There is quite a secessionist movement going on in Alberta. If the conservative Poilievre wins, I'd say almost zero chance of a break away. If Carney wins and continues Trudeau's Carbon Tax, Net Zero, Green insanity, gun grabs and Canada is a post national, non-country globalist entity nonsense, the Premier of Alberta has indicated she'd consider holding a referendum on cessation.

The Albertans love their trucks, guns and oil. Think of them as Texans who swear an oath to the King.They provide the wealth that the commies in Ottawa depend on. It's an interesting time in Canada. The liberals will continue their policies of destroying the Canadian economy and nation and at some point the more conservative producers in the west will say "enough".

Here's an amusing tidbit. A few weeks ago the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, vowed to inflict maximum pain on the American people by cutting off energy to the US. Here's the problem, the energy comes from Alberta and is controlled by Alberta. Furthermore, the green weinies in Ottawa, didn't want a pipeline going through Canada, so Ottawa and Liberal Eastern Canada are supplied by oil from Alberta which goes through a pipeline going through the US.
