I dunno. I personally feel people can change their minds - case in point, here in the UK I've voted for four different political parties in elections dependent upon how I felt at the time - I've voted tory, labour, green and liberal-democrat.
Second case in point, Russell Brand who you posted a few posts above was more left wing than Lenin until a few years ago - I assume he found a right wing sponsor who pays more.
