If there was some way to do a background check of politicians before they could run for office similar to what we have to go thru would be a good idea. At least have a forensic IT guy thru their personal devices.
You need a background check to own even an overpowered BB gun in many countries, but if you want to run for office to have the ability to launch thousands of nukes you just have to say that a dude in a dress is a woman and that society will be safer without police.
I like diversity as much as the next guy & we have necessarily incorporated all genders & sexual persuasions into our military but we have watched the current US Administration's experiment to place fruitcakes with no actual work experience in high positions because of how they look wearing an evening ball gown & high heels. Most Countries do check the information on your CV/resume' before swearing you in & giving you access to State secrets & the launch codes. Hopefully there is a firewall in place before the nukes start flying well before some form of mental illness or dementia shows itself.
