I heard that the UPDF produces the ammunition for their own Kalashinikov or Type-56. And motar rounds as well.

Uganda defence forces are wasting no effort to showcasing their manufacturing capabilities for military products, but a government audit report highlight shows subsidiaries are yet to break even.​

Earlier this month, Uganda held its first defence and security expo, showing products from its defence industries including modified tanks, troop carriers, modified AK-47 guns, body armour, armoured cars, high-level bullet-proof vests, and helmets.
