Why are the Chicoms so mad? Are they missing a submarine?

MORE - Moscow not ruling out the temporary shutdown of all US, Russian diplomatic missions says Russian Deputy FM Ryabkov.

That remark was after mrs "f... the EU" visit to Moscow and has nothing to do with Taiwan but is about Ukraine and NS2 sanctions threats.

A major problem for China is that their list of allies is thin. Even Russia realizes that a too powerful China poses a potential security issue beyond anything they might face from the West, and any common cause Russia might have with China would be tactical and fragile.

Now they are alarming their neighbors who are stirring to action. The situation China may face soon will be to "use it or lose it". That makes me very concerned.

For the people that dismisses China as just copy catting weaponry and have no innovation of their own... whale...

" China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile in August that circled the globe before speeding towards its target, demonstrating an advanced space capability that caught US intelligence by surprise. Five people familiar with the test said the Chinese military launched a rocket that carried a hypersonic glide vehicle which flew through low-orbit space before cruising down towards its target.

The missile missed its target by about two-dozen miles, according to three people briefed on the intelligence. But two said the test showed that China had made astounding progress on hypersonic weapons and was far more advanced than US officials realised."

Just a reason more to decouple.

The stupidity of propping up economically your enemy.
Agree, the Philippines has been decoupling, from the number 1 trade partner down to the 3rd.... however, all these efforts is but a drop in the water when the EU and US continue to engage the Chinese in commerce and industry. The Chinese economy was built with US money and their science on European tech.

It was a hard miss, will see what the US and other theaters do now. china on borrowed time;

I have a feeling they wont do much other than to maintain parity or in the case of the US, just keep doing their secret projects. If you are looking for direct action, the world missed that chance in the 50s- 80's. Chine is at a point now where it can bring down its opponents with it. So it is better to talk and just wait it out.

I do say though that the Us should follow its guts and invade Australia, thats a power move "see what we did to Australia, and we liked them"

No one needs or wants to invade China. China just needs to be cut off from it's markets, western financiers and energy. Something not hard to do if war comes. The CCP would have to decide if complete destruction of it's economy is worth Taiwan.

Yeah and by doing that the worlds economy suffers too. China needs the world and vice versa. They will get Taiwan, I just dont think its by force.

Suffers. But doesn't get destroyed.

Worlds second largest economy collapses and you think the world economy wont be destroyed? If their economy collapses, that mean the EU and US largest trading partner disappears and you think you will just suffer?

The US economy is dependent on US consumers. The CCP economy is dependent on US consumers and US investment...and imported energy and food.
