In recent years, Vietnam has also been actively working to strengthen and expand the islands controlled by Hanoi in the disputed Spratly archipelago of the South China Sea. The photographs show the "evolution" of Pearson Reef, aka Bisheng Jiao from 2014 to 2021. The total area of the erected infrastructure facilities has increased by 24 thousand square meters. It is also reported about the construction of stationary launch sites for air defense systems.
