@ao_sepia , I found this about the NZ camo pattern:
"Initially released for testing in 2011, a new, pixelated camouflage design was adopted by the NDDF in 2013. This marked a huge departure from the DPM-based designs employed up to that point. This Multi-Terrain Camouflage Uniform pattern (MCU), designed to perform under a variety of geographical conditions, is likely to have been heavily influenced by the use of Multicam by the NZ Special Air Service in various theaters of operation. The original pattern incorporated a fairly dark color scheme that was criticized by operational personnel. Subsequently, the NDDF adjusted the colors to a lighter scheme, as well as an alternative version for the Flame Resistant (FR) smock. This pattern was designed by Hyperstealth Biotechnology Industries.@

Also, the guys to the left and right of the Kiwi soldier in the 1st image are soldiers of Timor-Leste or East Timor, their armed forces are called FALINTIL which is a Portuguese acronym for Forças Armadas da Libertação Nacional de Timor-Leste or in English: The Armed Forces for the National Liberation of East Timor

Ever struggle to find the right parking spot? Try 'parking' an A109 helicopter like our flight crew from No. 3 Squadron on top of a mountain in Marlborough. Job done.

The latest NZ Army News has images of the new uniform and camouflage pattern to replace the pixelated MCU one. Can't copy the images but can be found on page 3 of the link. Basically similar to the Brit MTP version of Multicam with the color pallet somewhere between standard MC and the tropical pattern.

Yes. Thales wanted stupid money for the updated AUG/F90. The cost of the LMT MARS AR with scope and support was less than the cost of the new F90 with nothing else.
